Chester FC made it nine away wins in a row as they beat Trafford 2-0 thanks to a dominant performance at Shawe Bridge.

Neil Young's men bounced back to winning ways at the weekend by completing the double over Trafford this season with a 2-0 win away at Shawe Bridge.

The Blues got off to a sensational start, taking the lead with just 45 seconds on the clock. Iain Howard found the net with a powerful header after the defender connected with a Jimmy McCarthy throw in.

Bradley Barnes could have made it two nil after ten minutes before Captain George Horan despatched another powerful 12 yard header home for Chester's second on 19 minutes following a Tom Field corner.

The hosts nearly allowed Chester to increase their lead in the 25th minute when a Trafford defender sliced the ball onto his own cross bar as they struggled to come to terms with The Blues all attack approach in the first half.

After the break Chester continued to push forward and will rue their missed chances and the opportunity to notch up a greater scoreline.
