It’s now only 3 days until the charity launch of my book “Journey to Chocolate” (full details attached) on Nov 11th and I would like to thank everyone who’s already booked their places. And thank you also to the following businesses who have sponsored tables :-
• Buxton Accounting
• Aaron & Partners
• Inspired Lives
• Changes Forever
• Karalius Bros (Waste) Ltd
• Girling Supplies
• FAB21 Networking & Southern gtx
• Prestige GP
• Corve Consultancy
• Red Star Creative
Their generosity means that every place booked is a donation to the Joanne Bingley Memorial Foundation. Along with places booked and the raffle it is my the goal is to raise £1200 for the Foundation, a charity for which I’m a trustee.
I want to share some facts so you know why this work is so important:-
• Suicide is the second highest cause of maternal death
• Only 50% of women suffering from postnatal depression seek help and an even smaller percentage get the help they need
• 78% of primary care trusts do not know the incidence of postnatal depression in their region.
Our aim is to provide information for parents so that they feel they can ask for help when they need it and to know what to ask for. We also work with front line professionals to support them in giving the best care they can. This all takes money but we know already that what we are doing is beginning to make a difference.
But I also want to celebrate having written my book and my intention is that this event will be one of celebration. There are some amazing raffle prizes, again generously donated, and there will be a range of trade stands to browse around and spoil yourself if you wish. We also have the amazing and inspirational Elaine Hanzak-Gott along with Chris Bingley, the founder of the charity, as speakers.
I know, because some of you have told me, that you are going to be there. Please help me make this event be the best it can be and book your place on www.charitygiving.co.uk/marynewsome .
Kind regards
Ann
