Leading IT services specialist Converge IT has announced the launch of a new offering around disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity. With firms risking going out of business without adequate DR provision but hesitant to make the necessary investment because of the cost, Converge has come up with the best of both worlds – high-level system protection at a mid-range price point.
The service uses real-time imaging technology to provide continuous data replication within the Converge data centre; this allows for both rapid bare metal recovery in the event of a single server failure, and a complete off-site DR facility in the more unlikely event of a full site failure. Half a dozen firms have already signed for the service ahead of its formal launch, including law firm O’Neill Patient.
