Liz Evans proprietor of La Cantina restaurant, bar and cafe in Boughton, Chester was delighted to be invited along with husband Chef Marco to an interview luncheon at Redshift Radio – a fast growing and popular internet based radio station based in Crewe and covering Cheshire as a whole.
It is a community based station not only covering music and chat shows but engaging and attending networking with people socially and from business and public agencies of all sorts.
They were guests of presenter Chrisoula Sirigou, Cheshire based but of Greek origin, who hosts the radio’s weekly European lunch show and were kindly introduced by fellow thebestofchester member Iain Girling.
Liz and Mark appeared on the show on 24 March between midday and 2-00 pm and in between music recordings discussed life at La Cantina but also influences and trends in Italian and other cuisines and all things Italian!! – interspersed with bits of Italian language from effervescent Chef Marco who with Liz took along a bottle of Prosecco and a light Italian lunch enjoyed by all during the show.
Chrisoula was also joined by fellow presenter Nick who certainly livened things up and with great interest for all talked about his recent family sabbatical for 12 months touring Europe in a camper van. The occasion was made more fun by the fact it was his birthday too!!
