Chester financial planning firm, Innes Reid, is celebrating being awarded ‘Chartered Financial Planners’ status by The Chartered Insurance Institute.

This title is awarded to firms committed to developing and maintaining the knowledge and capability of their staff. It also signifies the company’s adherence to a code of ethical best practice.

The Financial Services Authority currently regulates over 29,000 firms in the UK with less than two per cent having been awarded the Chartered Financial Planners status.

Mark Reidford, managing director of Innes Reid, said: “Securing Chartered Financial Planner status is a landmark for the firm. We have always prided ourselves on our thoroughly professional approach, so to have received such prestigious external recognition in this way is very gratifying.

“As a firm we believe that Chartered status demonstrates the very clear commitment we have to our clients. We have built our reputation on the quality of our advice and service and this has clearly differentiated us from our competitors. Our new status will continue to help us attract and retain the most talented industry professionals.”
