Hillyer McKeown are celebrating after a productive evening delivering a presentation to thebestofchester members.

The Company Commercial team spoke to nearly 30 members at the event about intellectual property (IP) and good ‘housekeeping’ points to consider when you’re running a business.

With a warm reception, the presentation seemed to create much interest amongst the crowd particularly when it came to IP and the ways in which businesses can ensure that all intellectual property rights in their website are owned by them and not by the web designers commissioned to build their websites.

Following the presentation, a question and answer session took place which answered a variety of questions including one relating to the unauthorised use of a photographer’s copyright images and how best to protect against this.

Anton Stirrett, Head of Corporate at Hillyer McKeown, said: “We were honoured to be asked to give a presentation at thebestofchester event and are extremely pleased with the way the presentation was received by the members. There was a fantastic turnout and the attendees took a clear interest in the topics we covered. Hopefully members were able to go away with a clearer understanding of these important areas as well as having had all of their questions answered. Many thanks to everyone who came along and helped to make it a fantastic evening.”
