The Hoylake Cottage centenary ball raised over £15,000 when local businesses, patrons and a whole host of guests including some celebrity faces came together for a wonderful evening to raise money for the charitable nursing centre for older people.

The ball, whose main sponsors were leading Chester law firm Hillyer McKeown and their new company Hillyer McKeown Financial services, took place at Chester’s Doubletree Hilton Hotel. The evening began with a champagne reception followed by a sumptuous 3 course dinner. The entertainment was provided by the band Citizen and the auction saw bids for items such as a Ryder Cup Montage signed by Lee Westwood and Jewellery from Boodles.

Phil McKeown, Senior Partner at Hillyer McKeown commented “It was a wonderful evening, and as a local company we were delighted to sponsor such a worthwhile event. I believe over £15,000 was raised during the night – which will be a valued contribution to the appeal to raise funds for the development of a new centre at Hoylake Cottage”.
