GOLFERS have swung it for Carden Park to be named the Best Golf Resort Hotel in the North of England.
Keen players from across the country voted online in their thousands to ensure their favourite golfing locations in the UK and abroad came out top at the first ever Today’s Golfer Travel Awards 2011, in association with major golf travel operator Your Golf Travel.
Karen Proctor, golf business manager at Carden Park, said: “This is a very prestigious award and we’re delighted to have beaten off stiff competition from other hotels and resorts in the North of England. We pride ourselves on our high standard of facilities here at Carden Park as well as the overall golfing experience we offer to members and visitors. We are extremely fortunate to have such an outstanding setting for our two championship golf courses as we’re surrounded by 1,000 acres of Cheshire countryside and we will continue to strive to be the best over the coming year.”
Today’s Golfer editor Andy Calton, said: “Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to all the golfers who took the time and trouble to vote for their personal favourites.
