GOLFERS have swung it for Carden Park to be named the Best Golf Resort Hotel in the North of England.
Keen players from across the country voted online in their thousands to ensure their favourite golfing locations in the UK and abroad came out top at the first ever Today’s Golfer Travel Awards 2011, in association with major golf travel operator Your Golf Travel.

The hotel has also been celebrating recently after achieving excellent results, and a top-twenty national ranking, in an impartial, nationwide study of meeting enquiry handling standards across 350 hotels and conference venues.
Carden Park was given an average ‘overall performance’ rating of 97.1% for 2011*, which put it top of the De Vere Hotels leader-board for the year, and also top of its selected competitor set, which comprised six local or comparable properties. Each hotel was scored for the experience it provides to customers throughout the enquiry process both on the telephone and online.
The Meetings Benchmark Tracker programme has been undertaken in the UK since 1999 by independent market research company BDRC Continental. It monitors how efficiently enquiries are dealt with and followed up.
Carden was also surveyed separately on its offering to golf customers and also came out top in an independent survey of five hotels within the De Vere Group, with a score of 86.4% for satisfaction across its calls and visits for the 2011 season**.
