Last year’s rookie centre Matt Schneck is returning to Chester for a second season with the Jets with the backing of principal sponsors AVC Group.
The Former St. Cloud State All-American centre put pen to paper in front of 200 Jets campers at the camp award ceremony last week. This was after signing a contract with AVC Group allowing the marketing major to work part time for the business, one of the UK’s leading services organizations, offering Digital, Media and Energy services. AVC Group is the sole mainland business partner in the UK to Sky for satellite system installations.
The Internship between the club and AVC will start in early September the position will work around Matt’s training and playing commitments. 2011/12 will be the second year AVC Group are principle sponsors of The Jets.
Matt said;
“As the main sponsor they've more than fulfilled their role in allotting me an opportunity to gain that business knowledge from a blue chip company. They've shown a large interest in my career, and have been very accommodating with the club. When you think of a sponsor you generally associate it with a large corporation who leaves money with clubs to get their logo on jerseys, and leaves it at that. AVC Group is anything but that.”
He added
“Looking at the future projects they will be working on, and seeing how involved they became with the recruitment process really has me intrigued with them. I think they are a company that genuinely cares about the community which fits my personality, and I'm excited to help them bring that into the public eye.
