A LOCAL hotel is journeying back to a time where ballads and funky driven dance floor tunes ruled the airwaves.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Chester will once again team up with Radio City this Friday July 29 for a night of legendary Soul and Motown hits performed by popular act The Commissars.

The Commissars are a three piece male act with years of performance experience under their belts, a loyal fan base and a genuine passion for Soul, Motown and R&B music.

With stunning three-part harmony vocals, slick dance routines and immaculate stage presence The Commissars are guaranteed crowd pleasers. The set list reads like a Soul and Motown greatest hits compilation, from Lionel Richie and the Commodores to The Temptations plus many, many more.

Leading on from the success of previous DoubleTree and Radio City entertainment nights the Soul and Motown evening is set to be one of DoubleTree’s finest. Radio City’s DJ Rick Vaughn will be hosting the event, which includes a three-course meal, live entertainment and a disco.

Tickets for the event are priced at £35 per person, which includes live entertainment, a three-course meal and disco. Residential packages are also available from £90 per person, including all entertainment plus bed and full English breakfast.
