Businesses across Cheshire can now access information from one of the region’s newest and most extensive business support networks even quicker with the launch of a free iPhone app from Chester’s new Riverside Innovation Centre.

The state-of-the-art application offers everything you need to know about Riverside Innovation Centre’s business services and facilities, including information on upcoming events, business advice and detail on the incubation units.

Riverside Innovation Centre, which is based next to the former County Hall, which is now the University of Chester’s Riverside Campus, aims to foster entrepreneurial talent and to help support the development of local businesses, and hopes this app will make the centre even accessible to businesses on the move.

Available to download for both the iPhone and iPad, the Centre has also recently launched a full online presence with a new website and social media activity to help more businesses interact with business services in the region.

University of Chester Vice-Chancellor Tim Wheeler said: “More and more businesses are now making decisions about their offices, events or conferencing on the move so it’s imperative that we are able to interact with them with their preferred modes of contact.

“We have developed this app with our prospective customers at the front of our minds and our very simple dashboard will help give entrepreneurs up to the minute advice or information about Chester business events to help them make business decisions in the palm of their hand.”

The app will also give more information on the Centre’s partners including the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce, Sector Skills Academy, Mersey Dee Alliance and Chester Business School.

The Riverside Innovation Centre is based at the University of Chester’s Riverside Campus on the banks of the River Dee and provides city-centre incubation units for fifteen start-up businesses as well as a 150-seater conference suite, meeting rooms, break-out rooms, a high-tech video conferencing suite and a networking business lounge available on a free drop-in basis.
