Pride for Chester PR agency with award double take!

Chester-based de Winter PR agency is celebrating after being one of a very select few to be short-listed twice in this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) North West Pride Awards.

Both nominations are for campaigns developed for our client Golden Square Shopping Centre; one in the 'Best Event’ category marks the team’s success for its youth engagement ‘Get Sorted’ campaign which aimed to help young people discover new talents, the second nomination is in the ‘Community Relations’ category for de Winter's eco ‘Growing Up Green’ campaign which literally got the town centre turning green!

In both instances de Winter was commissioned to develop creative regional campaigns to engage the shopping centre with the local community. Whilst the ‘Get Sorted’ saw the creation of a pop-up radio station and a jobs wall at the centre as well as a local employer recruitment event to help inspire young people. The ‘Growing Up Green’ campaign saw households and celebrities across Warrington sign up to save energy, local school engagement competitions, eco workshops, and the installation of hives on a shopping centre roof for over 100,000 honeybees.

The CIPR Pride Awards are some of the largest industry awards organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations that recognise excellence in PR and communications across the UK. These awards have grown year-on-year as more consultancies and organisations across the country compete to achieve the highest regional accolades for their work.
