The great and the good from Cheshire’s visitor economy stepped out in style as the prestigious 2010 Celebrating the Achievements of Talented Staff Awards got underway, recognising and rewarding the outstanding individuals who have made a difference to the industry.

The event, which this year celebrates it’s 10th Anniversary, took place in Tatton Park’s Grand Marquee, and presented awards across eleven categories including Commitment to Industry, Unsung Hero and Team of the Year

The 2010 awards were once again organised by destination management organisation Visit Chester & Cheshire to provide a showcase for the industry’s top performers and their employers across Cheshires travel, tourism, leisure, retail, education, training and hospitality sectors, and its attractions, events, food and drink and accommodation providers.

Visit Chester & Cheshire’s Emma Clarke congratulated the winners. “The commitment, skill and style they have shown exemplify the standards that need to prevail across the visitor economy if we are to reach our goal of encouraging more people to visit more often, stay longer and spend more. These are the approaches that will set us apart from our competitors.”
