Cheshire professional golfer Tom Way-Rider is setting his career sights high now that he has secured sponsorship support from Chester-based Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers Ellis & Co.

Tom turned pro last August and is now one of the professionals at Eaton Golf Club. He has signed up to the PGA EuroPro Tour that commences this coming April and he will benefit from Ellis & Co support towards his drive for honours in his inaugural professional season.

The Tour has a reputation for breeding winners like Louis Oosthuizen who won in 2006, so Tom is setting out to put a marker down for Cheshire when qualifying school starts at the end of March.

In announcing the sponsorship deal with Ellis & Co, Tom says:
“As someone born and bred in Chester I’m delighted to have the backing of one of the area’s best-known firms of professional advisers in Ellis & Co. The support they are providing to me as a rookie professional on Tour will hopefully help me be as successful as they have been over the years. After a successful amateur career I want to continue with success as a Touring Professional”

Commenting on the support that Ellis & Co is providing to Tom, Principal Robert Ellis adds:
“We are delighted to support Tom in his aspiration to be a winner on Tour and sincerely hope that he can bring Chester further fame and renown worldwide”.
