THE HANDBRIDGE outlet of French-designed baby and children’s wear brand Chateau de sable, is celebrating grabbing the attention of Theo Paphitis.
Proprietor Janice Atlay caught the Dragon’s eye with a tweet ( see right ), and as a result was recently chose of one of the six weekly winners of his Small Business Sunday competition.
The competition is run by the entrepreneur each week on Twitter, where small business owners can tweet him between 5pm and 7.30pm. Six small businesses are then chosen to receive a re-tweet to his 50,000+ followers. Winners are then formally members of the SBS club which results in raising their profile.
Janice said: “I was delighted to be picked. This online success for Chateau de sable follows another media success when our tennis collection was featured in the Saturday Telegraph magazine in June resulting in record hits and transactions on the website. “This media presence has also led to key department stores enquiring about stocking the collections.”
