Chris has mentioned in her previous blogs, the housing market has plummeted to its worst, with repossessions at its highest national level through redundancies, loss of a partner’s income, or simply through broken relationships.

It was through sheer determination, meandering through letting agencies, estate agents, home removal companies, relocation offices that allowed Chris to understand what direction and indeed to re-write her business plan.

Using social media, networking groups, mentoring packages and support from thebestofChester, CB Interiors are now working in alignment and progressing forward with a new business structure with Robinson & Neal, the BBC and ITV and the charity ‘The Mustard Tree’ which tackles the horrendous homelessness problem in Manchester.

BBC Radio Manchester producers contacted Chris in September 2011 with the prospect of a regular ‘live’ broadcast at the Trafford Centre, Manchester outlining how the current economic climate is indeed affecting the home owner.  Regular broadcasts are now common place providing honest, cost effective solutions for problem projects or indeed helping those trying to sell their home.

It was from this association that ITV Producer of ‘May The Best House Win’ offered Chris the chance to show case one of her homes for the current series, and indeed filming finished last week……. Chris’s chosen client had a wonderful time !

Following this association Chris is being asked to participate in future talks with ITV in the production of a new documentary in association with ‘The Mustard Tree’ run by Paul Wenham in Manchester.

“I believe that we are all subject to a changing environment and I became more aware after research of the effects homelessness  has on everyday people such as lawyers, policemen/women, office workers etc. It made me realize I had to make a difference.

It is such an alien world to many of us, homelessness, a million miles away from the WAG homes I have designed and those celebrities seeking anonymity, but if this opportunity provides future projects and business then  I have to broaden my horizons and diversify and take on this new challenge!”

If there are any Companies who wish to get involved with this future television project please contact me.
