Chester Festivals have received some very exciting news, for the first time since the company formed the Arts Council confirmed that Chester Festivals has joined 694 other national companies in their regularly funded ‘National Portfolio Scheme’, this is a huge achievement for Chester Festivals as the organisation is one of 14 new organisations in the north west who have received a three year funding offer from the Arts Council.

Over the last two years Chester Festivals has worked hard to raise the profile and quality of its festivals, to increase audiences and engage the people of Cheshire more fully in their festivals.  This result is a testament to that work and to all who have been involved.

Sue Harrison, chair of Chester Festivals says: We are delighted with this result. Through this support from the Arts Council, and through the long term support from Cheshire West and Chester, local businesses, patrons and friends of the festivals, partners and volunteers, I feel that Chester Festivals has an exciting and creative future.

I would personally like to extend my thanks to you as it is with your help and support that Chester Festivals have flourished and therefore gained the recognition we believe it deserves.

Thank You
Chester Festivals Team
