Brands confirmed for the show include: Naim, Bowers & Wilkins, SIM2, Classé, Arcam, Audiovector, Kudos, Stax and Lyra. Many will be showing off their latest products and both Naim and Kudos will be using the event as the northern launch of the new Ovator 800 and Super 20 loudspeakers respectively.

Geoff Coleman and Pete Fielding from Acoustica will be welcoming existing customers and hoping to meet some new faces at the show, which is free of charge to enter, and promises to be a fun and informative weekend. The DoubleTree by Hilton is a luxury full-spa hotel built into a converted 18th Century Manor House and set in 12 acres of landscaped gardens. It boasts a Marco Pierre White restaurant and is the perfect base for a weekend of high quality sounds followed by sightseeing in historic Chester or a spa treatment.

Staff from the exhibiting brands will be on hand to answer questions about their products and other aspects of modern hi-fi, such as digital music storage and streaming. Vinyl lovers have not been forgotten though, as B&W will be playing records on the new Rega RP8 turntable, through the award-winning Classé CP800 pre-amp and CA2300 power amp coupled to B&W 804 Diamond speakers.

Naim's emphasis will be firmly on digital audio, with the new DAC V1 and NAP100 combination taking centre stage. This compact two box solution provides a true high end computer audio solution with its asynchronous USB input, multiple S/PDIF inputs and headphone pre-amp.

Home cinema enthusiasts will be able to savour the delights of a 3D experience from SIM2 and Arcam using the Lumis 3D-S projector with the AVR600 and BDP300. The Lumis 3D-S uses triple flash technology, originally developed for commercial 3D cinemas to reduce flicker and ghosting and promises to be a truly breathtaking demonstration when coupled with Acoustica's home cinema electronics of choice from Arcam.

The flagship loudspeaker from Audiovector, the R11 Arrete, will get to show off its capabilities on the end of a substantial Naim electronics system. Kudos will be launching its new Super 20 speakers, which build on the already successful Super 10, which is a firm favourite of Acoustica and many of its customers.

Geoff Coleman, owner of Acoustica, outlined his reasons for launching the show, "It has been a long time since the north of England has seen a hi-fi show which majors on the high-end brands. Many people we have spoken to have been asking why this is the case and so we decided, as the leading outlet for quality hi-fi in the region, that we really owed it to the music lovers of our area to give them the chance to experience for themselves what really good hi-fi can do for them." He continued, "Unfortunately our shop isn't big enough to showcase all these amazing products at the same time, so we opted to launch our own show where the biggest names can be seen and heard under one roof. We are very excited about the weekend and look forward to sharing our passion with old and new faces alike."

The show is open from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 16th March and 10am to 4pm on the Sunday. The DoubleTree by Hilton can be found just off junction 12 of the M53.
