Chester law firm Aaron & Partners has defied the economic gloom by announcing record financial results and promoting four up-and-coming solicitors to partner status.
Total fee income for the year ending 30 April 2011 was the firm’s highest ever at £5.75m – a 5.1 per cent increase on the previous year. Profits were also very strong, up 3.5 per cent year on year.
In a reflection of Aaron & Partners’ policy of promoting internal talent, Adam Kerr and Emyr Kerfoot from the firm’s litigation team have been made partners. Family lawyer Elisabeth Pugh and environment and waste management specialist Claire Petricca-Riding have also achieved partner status. The latest round of promotions takes the number of partners to 23.
Meanwhile, Catherine Kerr in the firm’s employment team and Shabina Ali in insolvency have both been made associates.
Aaron & Partners chief executive Andy Duxbury, who was himself made a partner recently, congratulated the newly-promoted lawyers on their achievements. Aaron & Partners, Cheshire’s largest commercial law firm, employs 100 people in total.
