‘BETTER BY DESIGN’
Chris Blythe, CB Interiors was interviewed by Gil Lightfoot, Chester Chronicle which featured on 30 Sept 09.
Gil described how Chris began her love of colour and sewing skills from her grandmother, a tailoress which formed her future passion in running a successful Interior Design Company for over 27 years.
Starting as cottage industry namely ‘Country Curtains’ she began to develop her trade in the domestic market, which has now developed into a more commercial enterprise. Chris has recently completed a 12 bedroomed hotel in the Lake District, The Sun Hotel, and a more recent project was a scheme of refurbishment, branding and marketing for the Mollington Wellbeing Centre near Chester.
Chris is inspired by Mary Portas whose TV show, ‘Mary Queen of Shops’ helps failing businesses. Working closely with Hotels, B&Bs and retail shops, Chris has identified that many have lost direction, become stagnant and indeed are failing, she has the ability to help them recapture their vision and bring their business back on target.
