Sponsored by 2 of our well known Bury business members UKCostumes4U.com and DTE Accountants is this year’s annual Bury Lions Carnival and it's going to be a big one!
The theme for 2010 –the 42nd Carnival, is "Made in Bury" so it seemed only right that we help in spreading the word to assist in making this one to remember.

Bury Lions Club support many organisations within the community and as a charitable organisation is run totally by volunteers, volunteers who work tirelessly to helping all things local. As this is something that we are passionate about it seems only right that you know more about this year’s big event and don't miss out on a great opportunity to promote your business and throw your brand into the spotlight.

This year thebestofbury will be getting involved so that we can promote you, our business members where we can and we would like your help so in turn we can promote you further. Along with taking part in the parade where we will be fully branded from head to toe, team "bestof" will be hitting the local community with information about our members and we want you to get involved too!

We will be hosting our very own stand where we will be:
Running fact find sessions as to how we can help the local community through businesses just like you - i.e if someone is looking to have some work done on their house, who better than to recommend a local builder than us!
We will be showcasing our "handy little blue book" of which almost 80 of you will be featured along with some fabulous testimonials about the services that you provide.
We will be giving away balloons -  a great way for people to get to know about the site itself and a great opportunity as children just love balloons!
Voucher give aways - we will be printing vouchers from our best loved businesses to give away on the day.
we will be getting testimonials for you - many people will have used your services so for us, and you this could be a fantastic opportunity.

This is just an idea of what we have planned amongst a host of other things but we would love for you to be involved as well.  How? Well we would also like to ask you to participate in the following ways:

Supply us with any goodies that you may have which promote your business - do you have branded pens, key rings, jotter pads, personalised chocolates, etc, etc.........   If so then we will put together goody bags to give away on the day (as long as we have enough participants of course!)
Come along and join us at our stand and get involved in speaking with people directly.
Ensure that you have a great offer on with us - we will be giving them away on the day so it's down to you to make sure it hits the spot!
Give us your business cards and flyers so that we can pass on to potential customers for you.

Of course if you can think of anything else then we would love to hear from you too!  We have already had a good response for people wanting to come and join us which is fantastic.
We would love it if you could get involved with what we are doing too but should you wish to go it alone there are 2 ways in which you can become involved:

1 - Be part of the Carnival Parade - if you have a branded vehicle then this is a fabulous way to get it noticed locally.  Something that we are going to be doing with thebestof Smart Car.

2 - Get involved in the gala - exhibit your business by taking a stand.  Utilise this opportunity to shout about your brand and all you do.  Build your database to promote yourself directly to local consumers, give away samples, run a competition - the list is endless and it's entirely down to you how you do it!

The cost is very minimal so you would be crazy not to do it!
Entry is just £20 for the procession and £20 for the gala and of course all funds raised on the day go to a wealth of worthy causes.
