7Zip is a safe and secure method to send data and it is free! The programme operates as a single folder for any documents you will need to email, requiring a password to be opened, meaning that it is not possible for them to be hacked into.
Matt from DTE is currently investigating the easiest possible way to send passwords to access the zip files to customers. There are a number of ways that businesses could tackle this, figuring out which is the most secure method. Fax lines are apparently becoming increasingly popular and making a comeback - this is due to their direct line approach and the security they provide. Other methods include phone calls or even mailing the passwords through the post.
