Even in cold weather like this it is important to keep on top of jobs you prefer doing when it’s warm, for example maintaining your swimming pool, that’s right, swimming pool! We know for a fact there are around 200 swimming pools in the Bury area so someone reading this must have one, or know someone who does.

A business who know all about swimming pools and their upkeep is DD Swimming Pools and we can vouch for them being second-to-none in the local area. Even if your pool is indoor or outdoor it is still important to look after it.

Well-balanced pool water is important to keep a pool healthy, it is essential you check your chemical balance at least twice a week.

Prevent algae by inspecting your pool 3-4 times a week as without proper maintenance it will grow. Use sufficient chlorine to combat algae and use a quality algaecide to control it. If it is not monitored it can become much more harmful to your filtering system.

PH levels need to be checked as if it is too high, or low pool water can be unsafe. Test this twice a week as if left unchecked it can affect both clarity of the water and skin irritation for the swimmer.

Low Calcium levels can lead to brittle pool liner. Keeping the pool line flexible is important, especially for fiberglass and other fixed liner pool types.

Sounds like a lot to think about? Fear not DD Swimming Pools can take care of all that and more, just CLICK HERE to find out more and see what they can do for you. Or you could just let your pool freeze over and go ice-skating… But then again, you definitely don't want THIS to happen!
