overall enjoyed our stay with very little complaints, ideal location, will be back hopefully!:) room was very spacious with 2 comfy double beds and still plenty of room to move around, we had one of the rooms at the very front of the hotel with 3 windows, so it was well ventilated on the warmer days. straight across from the the lift so wasn’t too far to carry our bags, the layout of the room was ideal; after spending 5 days here, it certainly started to feel like home! will be back:) the room was a little dusty, especially the fan, after a few shakes it started working better as it was filled with dust but fans do generally collect dust inside. would’ve preferred a room with a shower as we stayed for 5 days, but you get what you get at the end of the day! the bath was a tad dated and a little grimy around the corners and the shampoo bottle provided did have hairs stuck to the nozzle, but we brought our own items so didn’t need to touch them. overall, bathroom could’ve been cleaner and maybe start trying to empty fans of dust:)

Check in was easy and very straightforward, within minutes I had our keycards and were heading to our room . We had booked the club room and it didn't disappoint, a nice spacious room with an enormous bed, wall mounted TV with Sky Tv channels, desk, chair and additional lounging style chair and foot rest. A kettle with plenty of supplies to make tea and coffee. The bathroom was lovely with spacious rainfall shower. Slight issue with the bathroom lighting and a broken toilet seat - I changed rooms without having to complain.
The pool facilities are good. Pool, sauna, steam room and two Jacuzzis.
Efficient and friendly service in the bar. Great food.
Breakfast disappointing. No poached eggs and no offer to make some, Coffee weak and orange juice not fresh.

Good Great hotel facilities and location Your restaurant staff let it down they are miserable and extremely short staffed. The breakfast in the morning was awful. Cheap ingredients with no taste x since our stay we have joined the gym which is excellent and extremely clean. Unfortunately we have stopped going in the bar after due to it always being short staffed snd can wait far too long to get served x

A very pleasant place to stay, and any criticisms are outweighed by the positive qualities of the ho All staff were unfailingly cheerful, welcoming and helpful, without exception. Restaurant/bar/breakfast food was of a very high standard, with generous portions. All parts of the hotel were very clean and well maintained, and a great deal of attention had obviously been spent on minimising any risks of infection spread. A power point on each side of the bed would be a useful addition - we all have phones/tablets/laptops that need charging overnight. Some instructions for using the TV system would help, as the controls were far from obvious. The smokers area was poorly indicated, and seemed to be at the foot of the main entrance stairs, which was a problem for me as I have severe back pain and struggle with long flights of steps.

Good Fantastic check in, lovely man on hand to help. In a family room and daughters little bed had a card and treats on which was a lovely surprise. Nice pool but busy with swimming lessons. Breakfast was poor. Long queues for hot food, coffee and toast with no room to queue. At least the hot food was served from the buffet as COVID precaution. Generally noisy, including a large party who returned around 0500 Saturday morning and made a lot of noise. Sink and toilet in family room both very high and no stool. Given we had the welcome card a stool would be a nice touch or make things a little lower. No garden at all and car park very busy. No footpaths to walk across to carvery over the road.

First time staying in a village hotel and not sure we would again for the price for the following reasons:
- Room was not that clean as we found an old sock under the desk so for 2 days we nicknamed it Geoff, under the beds was also horrible
- The shower pressure was as powerful as an asthmatic blowing through a straw
- The fan provided seemed good but it wouldn't move left to right without a remote control which the hotel didn't supply
- Breakfast was a bit lacking, no fried eggs hash browns and black pudding

The reason we gave it 3 out of 5 though is the room was spacious, fairly modern and the pool was great.

liked the hotel would use again Stayed in a Club room which was spacious and had a great shower. Starbucks in reception was a bonus. Wifi easy to load and worked consistently during my stay. Check in is self service and difficult to navigate. A member of staff was helping everyone. The main lift call didn't work; a regular stayer said this is normal. Lots and lots of stairs! Bad signposting to the Hotel and really easy to miss it.

good stay I liked the room although it didn't have a bath which I prefer and I was disappointed to be charged to use the gym and car park as extra . I did not use the facility for food I didn't like paying extra for parking and using gym

Stayed here a few times, pretty expensive for what it is, and rooms vary massively for the same price. The £100 room I was in last night looked out on to a brick wall. Picture attached. Previously had much bigger rooms with decent outlook and large windows. This much smaller prison cell should have been reflected in the price.

A lovely place to stay and rest and the staff were always available. comfortable room and tidy bathroom, good sized room everything was provided pillows were comfortable also. Nice shower and electrical appliances were easily accessible. Coffee and Tea arrangements were made in the room also. A sofa could have been provided and maybe a few more soaps and shampoo's. The car park payment machine was not working also.

Short break, ideal establishment, great parking, everything you will need for a stress free stay. Facilities were very good. Bar, eating area and outside areas were very good. Bed was very spacious and incredibly comfortable. Bathroom small but well laid out, shower was superb. Giant tv in room was a pleasant bonus. Didn't take advantage this time, however pool and fitness centre were of the highest quality. At last, somewhere with ample safe parking space. The room was very dark. The window being quite small, but no central light. Switch for heated towel rail in a good position. However, after three days, still looking for the heated towel rail. If somebody can find it, please let me know in your review. Food was very good, however, as expected, both eating and drinking were overpriced compared to other establishments. Breakfast was very good quality, however being in Bury, where was the black pudding for breakfast!!?? very disappointing.

Will defiantly stay again. Reasonably priced, clean, some effort had been made to make the room attractive, bed comfortable. Downside is we have just stayed again this weekend and the price had been hiked to £114. Had breakfast on second visit which was very good. only 1 bath towel
