Was at the village hotel for 2 nights with friends, everything was perfect, couldn't fault a thing,Great staff,fast and efficient service, Will be planning a return trip in the very near future.

liked everything but there could be a few minor improvements
The lighting in the room was insufficient for putting make up on. The bathroom lighting was better but the mirror was steamed up from the shower so found it very difficult. There was no conditioner in shower - a must for long hair. I had to ask for extra towels because of my long hair but there’s no phone to call reception so tried to ring via app but either the WiFi signal was extremely weak or the app wasn’t working? Tried without WiFi but still had same problem. Was also trying to find out when the pool closed and what time food was served til but no info in the room and as previously mentioned, I couldn’t get on the app which resulted in rushing down for food. Also, the Verve restaurant wasn’t open so had to eat twice in the bar & grill and didn’t find there was enough variation. I wanted to have breakfast delivered to the room but that wasn’t an option so we had to get up early to have breakfast despite having paid £15 for a late checkout so we could stay in bed. There was no water in the coffee machine and I had to ask for bacon and white bread as it hadn’t been topped up. Despite these minor issues we had a great day/night and an amazing sleep but these little things would have just made it a 10/10.

As always, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are always excellent and our stay is always pleasant.
There was a lack of glasses in the room this time. There were cups for tea and coffee but no glasses for water.

Great place to stay.
Room was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to town, buses were frequent too. Large sports bar. drinks reasonably priced. Breakfast was buffet style and very good. Staff excellent.

The room we had was really dark! No main light just a couple of lamps, i presume all the rooms are the same....
The food and drink is basic but okay. Not somewhere i would want to spend more than a nigh or two.

Room & hotel were fine, no issues there. What wasn't fine was that my credit card got applied to a different room and I ended up paying £80 for their night out! I understand that mistakes happen, but this is a concerning mistake. It took a few days to sort out and get a refund, but it meant me having to chase the hotel as promised call backs and e mails were not forthcoming, which was frustrating, and disappointing under the circumstances. Although it was dealt with swiftly by Sarah following my second call. It has also resulted in me having to cancel my credit card and request a new one under the recommendation of my bank. No real explanation was provided as the hotel don't seem to understand what happened? If it wasn't for this I'd happily stay at the hotel again, but I'd be too worried about the security of my credit card due to the lack of clarity as to what caused the mistake, so I won't.

Great location, friendly informative staff. Good food, room was very clean and tidy. WiFi was easy.
After being at a function all day and most of night as we had travelled, just wanted to sleep, unfortunately people above didn't. They walked around all night, never slept at all. We just waited for breakfast, checked out and went home to sleep.

The hotel was lovely and we had a really peaceful night.
We had booked a room with two beds but even though we had confirmed this, the room we initially went to had only 1 bed. This was disappointing as well as an inconvenience, we had to call down to reception and get it changed. Why confirm abd then ignore our request??

Paying for parking is not necessary in that area there is nothing there to use the car park for only the hotel , just an added extra cost for no valid reason in my opinion
