Really comfy beds , good rooms and excellent staff . You get free use of the gym etc when you stay here allthough I tend to just stsy in the bar . Food is excellent and staff in the bar are allways friendly . 5 star

My boyfriend and I visited the hotel for the weekend, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, when we arrived we was welcomed by friendly staff who introduced us to all the facilities in the hotel. We payed extra for the upperdeck room which was worth it and we recommend it to people staying at the hotel as the room was presented well and had useful facilities. There was a few minor issues however they were nothing we had to complain about , the room was clean and tidy but the heating was not working, which wasn't a big issue at the time as they also equiped a plug in heater in the room. Also we could smell drafts of smoke passing into the room but we did not know where it had come from, maybe from people smoking in their rooms which is not allowed or it could have been from the windows as we were on the first floor , so in that case people should not be allowed to smoke right outside the hotel where it is disturbing visiters. Even though the rooms were clean, the walls could do with a repaint as they were quite marked and discoloured. Apart from the downfalls ,overall the hotel was great. The bed was very comfy to the point we payed extra for a later checkout and also the breakfast which was included was to good standards , it required a variety of foods and you could eat as much as you want. We ate at the verve restuarant in the hotel ,the food was nice but we would of liked a bigger portion for the price. The sky box in the room was one of the advantages of the upperdeck room as we could relax in the room watching tv and then could order food later on through room service which came within 5 minutes. The pool and jaccuzi had a nice atmosphere, but the pool could have been abit warmer as i was quite cold. When we checked out of the hotel we were suprised at the bill as we were expecting it to be a lot more , so i definitley would say its good value. I recommend couples who are looking to go to a hotel for the weekend to visit this accomodation.

Just had a 2 day spa break loved it hotel nice, staff very nice, spa facility's good , spa treatments good ,food good definitely recommend it will be going back soon :) :) happy

Very nice hotel and leisure facilities

Two of us have just had an amazing joint birthday experience with a Spa, with afternoon tea and a murder mystery with 10 of our friends. What made it so special was all the staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble and with a crowd of women that can be quite demanding. Thanks to all the Spa and hotel staff you are wonderful!!

Fantastic hotel and a well organized gym.
Will return again soon.

A great weekend. The room was ideal once the very friendly and helpful staff provided us with a radio to listen to Radio 4. The food in the restaurant was superb and very reasonably priced. Because there were parties in for their Christmas dos, the service was rather slow and the room noisy. Breakfasts were great and I appreciated the free newspapers.

We didn't stay at the hotel just had Christmas dinner there. The dinner itself was quite nice but very rushed. They where clearing the tables around us. It was good for adults but not very child friendly. After dinner we wanted to carry on celebrating so went to the bar. We where then asked to leave at 6:00 pm as we where not residents.

I must start by saying the staff are great, so friendly and will do anything to help especially the housekeepers. I am currently staying at the hotel with my husband over Christmas, and my only couple of gripes is that first, we have booked to be on the upper deck, mainly due to children not being allowed, however this is not the case, as there are kids running up and down the corridors - not impressed. Secondly the Christmas dinner was £59.99 each, and when my husband was asked if would like lamb or turkey, he asked if he could have one slice of each, but was told no, its one or the other mmm once again not impressed. I've no idea why he was told no or what difference it would have made especially for the price we paid!!! So far apart for those issues, the hotel and food are ok.

Great party night venue... fabulous spa facilities for the price. Food average but the atmosphere on the party nights is brilliant. .. not recommended if you want a quiet get away but great for party's.

A great big Thank You to Samantha and her team at the Village Hotel Bury for an amazing party last night. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great night, great disco, great company. Thanks from everyone at the CTS team. Our heads are a little sore but looking forward to the next one :)

We stayed her to attend a works Christmas party nearby, the room was basic and the tv picture too fuzzy to watch,we used the pool facilities which were good.
Breakfast was ok but not brilliant.
For the price I didnt think it was cheap, have stayed in others in same area which I think are better value.

Stayed here last night for my husbands works do. We checked in and went to our room which was like walking into an igloo. Once we found the thermostat which was on the wall at the opposite side of the room we realised why it was so cold. It was set to 10 degrees. The maintenance guy assured us the heater would stay on if we left the room so we went down to the bar to warm up. Went back to the room and the heater hadn't stayed on. Any card however can be used in the slot so we then left a card in when we went to the party so the room was warm when we returned.

Also we were supposed to have sky sports 1 but couldn't get it, even the maintenance guy who was very pleasant and polite couldn't get it working so the hubby watched the football in the sports bar instead.

We really enjoyed the party but didn't rate the meal. Th veg was rock hard. However breakfast he following morning was good part from having to queue to get a table and our coffee didn't arrive until after we'd finished eating.

All in all apart from the freezing room and food issues we had a pleasant stay.

The room we stayed in was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the black out blinds were great. We also used the spa facilities which were brilliant. Overall a great stay.

Service in he bar was a slow and the room we booked although well appointed was on the small side.

The hotel was full so when we arrived there on a Friday night were no standard double rooms left and we were upgraded to an Upper Deck room. Very nice except it was above the pub and as there were Christmas parties on the music was booming until 1am. Same again Saturday night. I am not a killjoy but we were spending a quiet weekend visiting family and friends and just wanted a good night's sleep. Maybe those rooms over the pub and function suite should be reserved for partygoers? The room and bed were comfortable, food reasonable, great leisure club and lovely staff but the weekend spoilt by lack of sleep. Village hotels which used to be nice family hotels seem only to court the partygoers these days. Disappointing.
