I found the room to be a little "tired", the bathroom sink was cracked, the waste bin and toilet had used tissues in them and the room smelt of stale tobacco. However, this did not stop me having a good sleep. The hotel itself has great facilities and is in a perfect location for me, it's just in need of some tlc.

Unfortunately the coffee facilities in-room were empty. Bins in both rooms wernt emptied and carpet wasnt vacuumed. Window frame had gaps so draught was gently blowing the blind open. Radiator didnt work. Restaurant & service were superb though!

I stayed here on 20th February in an Upper Deck room. When I arrived in the room it was really big, and the bed looked so comfy with its fluffy pillows, and duvet. The bathroom was a good size and quite modern too. We didn't make use of the leisure facilities, which we should have done, and we didn't have breakfast here either. The room has built in SKY which was definitely a first for me in a hotel room.

The bad things I have to say about the room/ hotel was that around the plug in the bath there was black gunk underneath, which had obviously been missed on more than a reasonable amount of occasions. The rest of the bathroom, I have no faults with whatsoever.
In the room, we had a Dyson fan. We wondered why this was needed in February, however at around 1am this became apparent, as the room turned into a furnace! Having to get up to turn it on and kick the covers off as well was not ideal. There were a few scuffs on the couch that could've been rubbed off and obvious alcohol spillage marks on the walls in the room, that prevent it from feeling as fresh as it could.
It is also apparent that other drunken guests feel that singing and talking very loudly on the corridors between 12am and 3am is acceptable. This, as well as a bunch of men outside in the carpark at 1am shouting and being rowdy, is not what I would consider something to contribute to a good nights sleep. I suppose being on the main corridor where every aisle joins wouldn't help. Also, the housekeepers office/ store room was across from our room which was continuously banged through the morning from around 6am.

The hotel itself offers so much, and just these few things stop me from giving a rating of 4 which is a real shame. I would stay here again, however I would prefer to avoid room 101, and not come on a Saturday night as it seems that from other reviews, there are a lot of people that come to get hammered and then have no consideration for other guests.

It has anything you need for a spa hotel but I think you need to stop the building works till after check out time because I got woken up by a lot of banging! Other than that i had a fantastic stay. 👌🏽

Good location and clean hotel. As expected at a village hotel.
Upgraded to upper deck and worth every penny, Starbucks coffee in the room is always a nice touch.
2 places to eat and a Starbucks coffee shop mean you can stay on site and relax

Excellent stay. Really friendly staff.
Rooms currently under refurbishment and we were lucky to get a newly decorated and updated one.
Massive TV with Sky package. Starbucks coffee sachets and Tea.
Beautiful 'rainfall' type shower which was hot and powerful with plentiful supply of soap and shampoos. (If you like lemon!!)
Breakfast really nice although a bit on the slow side replacing items that had run out.

Welcoming hotel with lovely staff and currently being refurbished to a high standard.
Stayed in a refurbished 'Upper deck' room which was beautiful and much better looking than the previous photos on here.
Room was warm with thick carpets and a lovely soft bed.
Brand new shower suite with 'rainforest' style shower big enough for 2 ;-)
Previous reviews suggested rooms weren't very well sound proofed but we didn't have a problem. However some corridor noise is heard if a particularly noisy family walk by.
Didn't have any problems but staff friendly throughout and very attentive.
Hotel corridors are a bit of a maze but hopefully the refurb will address this.
Little grumble that breakfast isn't included in the price but available on a 2 for £15 offer if booked on arrival.
Great location and only a £4 taxi ride into Bustling Bury town centre with its markets, heritage railway and great nightlife.

Due to the size of the hotel and it's location just off the M66 the location is ideal for travellers not familiar with the area. The car park is huge and the large Public House bar area was warm and comfortable. We spent the rest of the day with family in Bury so we did not eat here or in the restaurant. We checked in late without any problem and our room was on the second floor. The room had a huge TV which made a pleasant change from the usual style, the decor was a little tired but the bed was comfy. The room and the bathroom were tidy and the only point to note would be the traffic noise from the motorway. The Windows had blinds and a very heavy curtain, but there was still quite a bit of noise at times, but as we were tired this did not disrupt our sleep. If you are a light sleeper you might want a room that does not face the M66. However as I .mentioned we deliberately chose the hotel for it's location and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Bedroom had some minor fault we booked a upper deck room on arrival there was a strong smell of paint which is not very pleasing and the key to our door was not working and the plugs beside our bed didn't work.

Was a great night away with my fella. Was anoyd wen arrived tho as the receptionist told us our payment hadnt gone through from two weeks before when we booked it. So she said you need to pay now! Well as we thought it was paid we didnt have the money and had to drive all the way home to get it. But when we booked it we got confirmation email so as far as we were concernd it was all paid. Thought it would of been good customer service for someone to ring us and explain the payment hadnt gone through so we could of sorted it rather than telling us when we arrived. Other than that realy enjoyed it and would go again.

We attended a wedding her, the venue was lovely, it was just as the bride had requested, the only thing forgotten was they had requested canapés after the service and these had been forgotten. However, the wedding breakfast was superb, the service was good and the food was a delight.

The room was clean and well presented. Payed extra for the Upperdeck room and had prepared a playlist to use with the Bose Speaker dock. This i advertised on the website but was not included. Reception said they were all out for service.

The pub was comfortable but pricey.

The gym really needs to be refurbished as it is falling apart in places and lots of equipment out of order.

The swimming pool is a decent size but pumped full of chlorine. I swim regularly at various pools without goggles and this does not usually bother me but the amount of chlorine in their pool really stung my eyes.

Overall the staff are friendly and helpful an apart from a few niggles it was a reasonable stay. Would I recommend others stay here, yes if the location is important. Otherwise no, you can get better elsewhere in Manchester.

Me and my fiancé enjoyed our time at this hotel we were in a room at the very back of the hotel (were building is currently going on to make it even more nicer!) and the room was amazing, bathroom stunning, & we didn't hear the building noise!

Definitely recommend this hotel for a night away. I'd happily live in It!

Great deal on the price. Double Standard room was plenty big enough for a comfortable stay. Buffet breakfast is usually great but as I thought they served until 11.00am I missed it, very disappointing. Car parking is free and there's plenty of facilities, gym, pub, restaurant, Starbucks and close to Bury center.

The hotel itself has the usual village facilities but charges for use of the gym and pool. This is not clear on the web site and is not the case in the others I have stayed at recently. The gym is the main reason I booked - but at £5 per session it is the equivalent of a £100 + per month gym membership!!the rooms need redecoration and there was no tea in my room. The walls in the bedroom were particularly thin. Certainly not up to the standard of other Village hotels I have stayed at.

Excellent if you need a stay , gym and proper swim . Rooms looking just a little tired now and could do with redecoration , although beds and fittings are good, shower powerful. Enormous TV . Swimming pool excellent for proper swim .

Stayed sat 13th Feb and booked room and valentines meal special offer with upper deck upgrade.

Stayed here several times, staff are superb with excellent level of service and great customer focus. Food always good and leisure facilities great.

Only slight disappointment was the upper deck, room still very clean and large with great TV but no Bose speaker and toiletries just as normal, however that nothwistanding great value product, drinks not cheap but you can live with that as the accommodation and facilities give great value plus the staff are just brilliant

Pretty good ! Took the family away whilst I was on a business trip and chose the hotel mostly on location as fitted well for my work and wife's plans.
Great service at the hotel, reception/ bar staff were very friendly.
Good facilities, my wife and 15month old loved the pool.
Rooms were clean and adequate. Liked the large flat screen TVs. Also the travel cot we requested was waiting for us.
My only concern would be the walls are very thin and we could hear everything in the room next door.
Competitors are probably offering better value as the nightly rate is probably a little high in comparison

Paid for upgraded upper deck room, however when I got to the room (room was very new and recently refurbished), extras were not available. When I mentioned to reception they were very apologetic and offered a full refund for the upgrade - rooms had been oversubscribed (and a complimentary bottle of prosecco). Very happy with the standard room too, very stylish, bed absolutely massive, very comfortable and good quality bed linen. I would definitely recommend this hotel, staff were very friendly and could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Was woken up about 1:00 am by some very noisy drunken girls, room was next to stairwell. Excellent value for money.
