We stayed at this hotel on good Friday for 1 night. Upon arrival at the hotel we were impressed with the size of it. We entered the lobby and there was nobody on reception. After a couple of minutes we tried putting our details on the iPad at the desk. This was pretty straight forward and we got our room key activated by following the step by step guide. The unfortunate thing was that this did not tell us where our room was and there was no signs to tell us which way to go. ( sometimes it is better to be able to communicate with a person not a computer). We eventually found our room. The room was a disabled access room with a very low bed and disabled access toilet and shower, this was not a problem. The view from this room was terrible and was just a flat roof. We went to the bar for a drink the bar had a massive tv and a good atmosphere. The drinks were very expensive at over £10 for a beer and a wine. We then went to the restaurant where we had a limited choice of food as we were on a room and meal deal. I don't see why the main menu is not included in this deal as if we were to just book a table and were paying then the whole menu is available, very sneaky thing to do. The food was good quality though.

Great check in service by Ashley. Corrected error in booking via 3rd party. Nothing too much trouble for her.
Refurbished rooms clean and tidy. No instructions for items in room or welcome pack for area etc.

I arrived with my best friend for a girls spa break we had a lovely sunday lunch chilled out for few hours . Then dinner and a few cocktails very nice . The food was good as was the price. A good night's sleep then we hit the spa. The treatments were very good the chill out area could do better the wooden sun loungers let it down people want comfort please consider changing furniture for better quality and enhance the experiance

Lovely hotel, rooms have been updated since our last visit.
Gym is fantastic, swimming pool very good.
Could be more choice on restaurant menu. However nothing to complain about as such.
Breakfast buffet very good.

Looked to have been refurbished since our last visit. Club rooms are a good size. Great bathroom. Self check in worked well, but had to get an extra key programmed by staff member. Check out easy. Breakfast average.

Faciilitiws and food was great , rooms very clean shower and bed was great big tv on the wall with plenty of channels . Bar was a bit pricey but that's expected in a hotel. Other than the doormen who were useless was a great stay

Stayed for short break. Staff very helpful, breakfast nice and room very pleassant. Stayed here a few times now and not been disappointed. Would recommend to others and stay here again myself. Easy travelling in and out of Manchester and easy to return home as only about 3 miles from motorway.

I recently stayed at the village hotel in bury with friends. Reasonably priced rooms, which were of sufficient size and had all the facilities you'd expect from a decent city hotel. The facilities of the hotel are very good like those of a five star hotel. A gym and pool accessable for a all guests, a nice carvery restaurant and steak house, a starbucks and a traditional style pub. Before me and my friends went out we watched the championship boxing event on a big screen in the pub, which was a pay per view event and we got to watch it free. I would recommend this hotel as they offer so much for your money.

Stayed at the Village Bury as a stopover on my way to Manchester Airport with my wife. Excellent location and will take around 30 minutes to the airport. Upgraded to the club room and was very pleased with the size and facilities. Was a bit disappointed that we were unable to check in earlier even though we had paid for a premium room.

This hotel has an excellent leisure club and is one of the best equipped that we have stayed in which is great if you enjoy a workout or swim when you stay at a hotel facility.

We also had an evening meal in the Grill/restaurant and couldn't fault the food - Excellent meal despite slow service.

Overall an excellent stay and we will be returning again on our next stopover to the airport.

An excellent hotel - rooms were very good, spacious, clean and well equipped; leisure club was excellent, with a range of facilities; food at dinner in the bar and at breakfast were both of very high quality. I wish all hotels would adopt the same standard. Check in and out was effortless and staff were extremely helpful. This hotel is highly recommended. The on site Starbucks is a bonus!

Stayed at the hotel on Sunday evening. Parking was plentiful, welcoming reception staff and amazing bedrooms. Nothing was an issue during my stay and the staff in all departments were happy and engaging. Bedroom was just what I needed after a long drive and I slept so well. Great stay at Village Bury.

Took my family for the Easter break. The stay was fab! The staff were friendly and the spa was superb. Best I have had in a while! There is not enough variety in the restaurant and breakfast provided though.

A first class service from all of the staff that work here to provide what was a fantastic weekend away. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet was well stocked and hot. The room was clean and well maintained. A special shout out to Ashley who manages the check in area, she is an outstanding member of the team and a credit to Village Hotels. I would definitely come back and stay here and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Although did not use leisure facilities or evening dining in public house or restaurant our entire stay was a pleasurable experience , from drinks in the public house to the breakfast in the morning we found the staff could not do enough for you and were very friendly and knowledgable during our entire stay

I went to the gym on the Sunday, which I am a member of. I went back upstairs and the weather was delightful so I went into the Verve for a Shandy. I was greeted by a lovely orange haired lady called Lucy. We exchanged pleasantries and she asked me what I was doing today, she said I should try the carvery since I wasn't doing much. I went in and was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious and nothing like the carvery at the Waterfold. It has so many options, unlimited. Particular highlights for me was the turkey and the chocolate mousse was delightful.

Had a one night stay so we could visit Bury market. The hotel is within walking distance at around 1.25 miles.
Hotel is spotlessly clean from the public area to the room and bathroom.
Even the public toilets are so clean.
Breakfast is well layer out and presented with friendly staff.
Any criticism - no dedicated reception!

We've stayed a few Village hotels and they do a very good job of being consistently good. The rooms are a good size, everything is cleaned well, and they have a good customer service in all the hotels. I wouldn't have no problem coming back here again and it's only a 5 minute taxi ride to the metrolink if you'regoing into the city.

Stayed over as we were attending an event nearby.I found their method of checking in strange. There is no reception desk just a member of staff standing by a square shaped desk, I was not the only person who walked past looking for the 'reception desk.'
Bathroom was fine. Liked the idea of the Dyson fan but it only just fitted on the desk so would worry about it falling off.
Did not like the fact that the mattress is within a velvet plush type surround together with headboard for me personally the thought of a velvet plush type edge to the bed was not a good idea. Could not find hotel amenities or 'welcome' on the TV screen and no button marked for 'reception' on the room phone. I had tried a week before to book an appointment in the beauty salon to no avail. Cost £120 for room only and I paid extra £15 for early checkin. Think we felt a little 'unloved.' Sorry Village Bury!
