Stayed 1 night during a business trip. Booked at lunchtime on line. Arrived 5pm. Very fast and efficient check in.

Room was clean and warm. Free wifi was very reliable and pretty quick.

Went for a simple dinner in the pub. Was on my own so did fancy the main restaurant. Fast efficient service at the bar. Food was good, although limited choice in the bar.

Room seemed quiet, I slept well. Good shower.

Breakfast was good. Reasonable choice.

Checkout very fast and efficient. Yes I’d definitely stay again on my next trip to Bury.

Fantastic romantic night away with my husband for lunch dinner /evening meal and overnight stay with breakfast, amazing time, so relaxed, the room was lovely and clean, the bed was massive and really comfortable.

Venue was not the best room to hold a family night..... in the basement with no toilet facilities on the floor. Room was too hot. Dance floor had a step; which is difficult when you have little ones. DJ equipment failed.

Brilliant time. 👍
Food on party night (gala) couldn’t fault. Service good only very slow.
Staff friendly, entertainment average, would recommend for get together as no hassles. Bedroom in need of mirrors in practical areas!! 👍

I had hoped for more. The location and facilities are great but the team don't seem to enjoy having guests with them.
The leisure club is as good as it gets for a hotel gym but the coffee maker in the room didn't work and restaurant service was poorer than I would have hoped for.

Nice hotel, clean with pleasant staff. A little on the pricey side for the location and quite expensive in the bar. The walls though are paper thin and you can hear everything ( take ear plugs) other than that a pleasant stay

The hotel is absolutely outstanding the only thing that could be better perhaps was to include the gym/pool voucher in the price of the hotel rather than the extra £5 charge. But 55" TV, Nespresso machine in the room, high standard toilet facilities, Starbucks, pub and restaurant makes it up.

Quite noisy, people out on the terrace directly below the bedroom well into the early hours, you need to try to avoid a room at the front of the hotel and they appear to have removed the coffee machine from the club rooms, even though they still show this being available on the website when you book

Lovely hotel upgraded to superior by reception. The bed was lovely the pillows were not quiet night when i did eventually go to sleep at about 4am with the room cushion. Breakfast was busy but plentiful.

Enjoyed the place, got a good price for a couple of nights in a standard room. The bed is fantastic, the bathroom is really nice, the Smart TV was a pleasant surprise. Didn’t have the best window view, unfortunately: it was overlooking the rooftop with a puddle full of sigarette buds. Someone was smoking through the window in one of the suits next to ours, and when they threw the sigarette bud away, it was carried along with the ash straight into our room. Stepping on it was not the best experience of my life.
The hotel is located in a pretty nice place, considering it is in Bury.
Overall, a very nice and friendly place.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel as did family and friends. We found the location pleasant with some view to the Horizon. As this was a wedding occasion, some greenery around the Hotel would have added to the photographic possibilities, but this was largely circumvented.

Overall a very wonderful experience.

Booked for New Years Eve to watch The Rat Pack travelled from Warrington so booked a one night stay £126 for the room £134 for meal and Show I was so excited as I’m a big fan of the Rat Pack music so you can imagine my Dissatisfaction when a Show that is Advertised as The Rat Pack Tribute turned out to be a Solo artist singing swing numbers,Elvis,Sam Cook,The Bee Gees,BobbyDarren,(The artists was very good by the way) But this was no way a Rat Pack Tribute and this was Blatant misrepresented advertising Village Hotel Hang your Head in SHAME.

bar manager awkward and doing what he wanted despite an offer being sent to us. He said Subject to availability and im not doing it.I showed him the offer but he said it was his choice. Attitude was very poor. The bar staff were great though.

Very busy staff very helpful but a few little thing's, heater not working, items running out at breakfast, table at breakfast cleaned but food all over the floor, meal over cooked in the bar all were fixed quickly but just felt we spent all our time complaining

The hotel was fantastic. Stayed over on "Sunday night saver" and then upgraded to a club room. The room was lovely however there was no ESPA products at all in the room upon arrival. When I raised with housekeeping they were great and quickly resolved so I could enjoy a shower to freshen up. Used the gym, and pool facilities which were included with the upgrade, again couldn't fault. The food was very tasty and hot, however service was quite slow despite it being relatively quiet.

We met friends for a meal in the upper balcony area. The staff were really friendly and the range of different foods was excellent. We had the carvery but that included extra side dishes and lots of variety of sweets and puddings. The helpings weren't huge but they were varied. The helpings weren't huge but they were varied and very tasty. The only negative thing is that the prices are a little on the high side if you're just meeting somebody for a nice lunch but it was an amazing pleasurable experience and so you pay for that.

You are greeted immediately by super local, friendly staff who will help guide you to all the excellent services located just off the entrance. The surprisingly large pool and quality gym used by locals not just residents. The Starbucks is a stopping point for those passing by the motorway junction nearby. The restaurant is staffed by kind staff who are keen to help provide good, unobtrusive service. We were allowed to eat the pub food in the quiet restaurant.
The rooms were clean and modern with no fuss though don't expect a view! Perfect for visiting family and friends for a couple of nights but better than budget chains. We will return very soon.

Lovely hotel with a fantastic gym. I have stayed in the hotel once and found it comfortable and clean and lovely. But I joined the gym and go frequently. Its fantastic. Well equipped with two squat racks and all the weight and cardio equipment you can want. The pool and spa/sauna are big and clean. Great changing rooms. I eat at the pub frequently - good food. There's also a restaurant and a Starbucks in the hotel.

Me and my partner are regular customers to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The food is always amazing and we would always say so was the service but the service we received tonight wasn't anything we've ever experienced in the amount of times we've stayed here before. Service with a pleasant smile was lovely but we waited a good 25 minutes for the bill and had to ask another waitress to get us the bill and then we still sat and waited 10 minutes for someone to come back over and take our money which is surprising, especially when there was only us and one other couple eating in the restaraunt. Other than this we absolutely love staying here but would like a bit of a better service when coming to the bill etc.

We stay in January for two nights. Rooms very clean. Breakfast was very good. We did not eat any other meals there as we were visiting family.
Staff friendly.
Gym and pool fantastic. I used the facilities. Pool was my dream as I am a swimmer and the times I choose to go was not busy.

Went for a spa day (travelzoo offer). The spa and gym facilities are fab and fairly up to date. The swimming pool is one of the warmest I've ever been in! The staff are friendly and helpful. I'd definitely go again.

A thoroughly overpriced and underwhelming hotel. Similar to other examples of this chain. Facilities were good. Room was dark, bed was not uncomfortable. Like most hotels, noise from surrounding rooms and corridor was auidable. Food in the restaurant is only available from 6-10. Room service is also only 6-10. There is a bar, but the food there is limited and not particularly tasty. Perhaps an oversight by the waitress in the restaurant but we were not offered the set menu despite many other tables around us ordering from it, meaning our meal was much more expensive.

I’ve visited this Hotel on a number of occasions to use the gym, cafe, pub, and the private function room. I mainly use the gym whenever I visit the area.
It’s conveniently located between Bury and Heywood, just of the M66. The gym is a fair size with a mix of equipment and free weights you’d expect in any gym, they have private trainers too if that’s what you’re looking for. In addition they have organized classes. Changing and shower facilities are always clean and pretty spacious.
After a session it’s nice to have the option of the pub or cafe, depending on what time of day it is ad pond what plans you have with the rest of the day.
Staff are always pleasant and helpful, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a local gym with decent amenities.
