We dined at Oscars for my daughter in law’s birthday on 27th July. The food was fabulous and the service was spot on. Very good size portions. One of the best sea bass we have had. Ribs were juicy and tender and chicken wings were perfectly cooked.

Visited with my wife on Dirty Boots Sunday offer. The room was lovely with scenic view. Reception staff was very friendly and helped us with our luggage. Food was gorgeous at Oscars. Will definitely return.

I stayed here for one night working away from home. The reception I received was friendly but not pally which is fine. I couldn’t get into my room as I did arrive early so staff were happy for me to sit in the dining area to work.
The reception, communal toilets, bar and dining area are aesthetically pleasing with nice decor throughout. The furniture is robust and nicely matched, really nice.
When I got to my room, it wasn’t quite as nice as the ‘showy’ public areas, but still pleasant enough.
My room was a good size with a double bed, desk/dressing tab, and bedside cabinets. Not new for sure, some scuffs here and there, I guess to be expected. A built in wardrobe and small tv, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and tea/ coffee making facilities. Great. The view was into the fields which was lovely but the pervading noise of traffic reminded me how close to the roads we were.
The carpet was beige, stained here and there, again I guess to be expected. The bed linen was ok and clean. Whilst the pillows were uncomfortable, the bed comfortable and I slept ok.
The bathroom is nicely tiled with a bath and shower.
Now the detail and the Devil…
Above the bed there were significant sized cob-webs, and when looking closely it is clear the whole room and bathroom needs a good clean. There was heavily laden dust on the skirting in the bathroom, not nice. It’s all a little tired and drab.
The food however was really nice, good portions although a bit big for me, however I suspected the thick cut chips were frozen, not nice.

The communications and social media staff member was chatting to me and my colleague as we sat outside in the afternoon / evening sun for a break, and she was lovely, very chatty and clearly passionate about her work. Apart from her and the afternoon / evening receptionist, relations appeared a little forced. Shame, as the ‘suits’ who I took to be the owners seemed to have no passion for their work, although after saying that one lady who appeared to be senior did apologise as I had relayed my disappointment on check out.

At breakfast the next day the table we were given was dirty with drink stains from the previous night. The seats in the booth were also stained.
There were COSHH cleaning materials openly next to the bread basket and toaster, one even with decanted sanitiser which actually breaches COSHH regulations. In fact they should not be openly available on show.

I would return here if I was in the area as it is convenient and not too bad, despite my comments. Maybe my expectations around cleanliness are too high, although there really is no excuse for dirty kick boards on doors, dirty furniture where someone has clearly spilled a drink, torn wallpaper, thick dust and cobwebs.

We were at the Red Hall last Friday for a family wedding and cannot recommend it enough.
The staff worked so hard all day to make it perfect and we’re friendly and helpful throughout.
The wedding service room was beautiful.
I’m vegan and my wedding breakfast was a amazing vegan pasta but the other guests had a huge roast dinner. Everyone commented on how at weddings you normally get a small or not very good portion. This would’ve been a huge meal at a restaurant let alone a wedding and everyone was talking about how good the food was all night. It was the same at the buffet.
The room for the reception was perfect a good size and well set out.
Our bedroom was comfortable and well set up and the rest of the hotel was lovely and an ideal space.
Perfect place for a wedding.
Despite living about 2 minutes up the road I’ve never been in before but I’ll definitely be back to visit.
Thanks to all the staff for making us feel welcome

We recently stayed here for 2 nights in March for a freinds wedding. We checked in Friday afternoon which was easy, quick and friendly, our room was nice and clean, there was a comfy double bed, a good shower over the bath, there was a TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee in the room.
We had booked a meal with freinds on the Friday night, all the meals were really good, along with plenty to drink, the cost of the meals and drinks was very reasonable. Saturday the wedding was held at the hotel, the wedding itself was upstairs in a really nice bright room the service itself was conducted by a lovely lady. The reception was downstairs, the room/hall was lovely the hotel provided a buffet which was really nice and as the evening progressed the hotel layed on more food, the disco was really good.
The wedding and reception was really well run and organised, all in all a lovely stay at a very nice, friendly hotel where we found all the staff helpful and friendly,

The most friendly, polite staff I've ever encountered! Absolutely every member of staff was so lovely and chatty. Stayed for 2 nights for a friend's wedding and can't fault a thing. Service top class, food excellent at night and breakfast. Rooms were fine for 2 night stay, nice view, clean, everything you need. Location easy to find. Thanks to the team for making the weekend perfect

We have recently visited for a couple of family Sunday lunches. The first visit was a larger family group of 10 and the recent one was a small family of 3. Both occasions were excellent, with great service and delicious food. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We have booked to go again as a larger family group for mothers day. We have previously been for an evening meal, between lockdowns and will be revisiting one evening again soon .

The hotel we have visited many times as we live locally, we booked for a valentines treat for some us time away from the children we had booked a local Michelin star restaurant called Levanter so it was the ideal location and the hotel as always did not disappoint.

The rooms are clean and spacious and warm with excellent WiFi the drinks in the bar are good a little expensive but you are at a hotel and the room service from Oscar’s bar later in the nights whilst we watched the Khan v Brook fight through the fantastic WiFi….

All in all good clean hotel on the edge of the beautiful Ramsbottom….

Firstly, we had our wedding here in 2021 and it was the most amazing day ever. Warren couldn’t have been a better host and I couldn’t fault a single thing on the day. It was a dream come true!

We have since returned for date night which was lovely. Service is always spot on & the live music was great. The £125 deal is a good offer and includes wine which was tasty. The food was nice, though I would have served the chocolate brownie warm but other than that it was all delicious and a great deal.
We were asked at one point if we would like water for our table. Every other place we have ever visited that has asked this, has provided complementary water & this was the only reason we had said yes. We were shocked to find out it had cost us nearly £4 the next morning and feel like that should have been mentioned.
My main complaint is the noise / walls and this has happened each time I have tried to sleep at red hall. The night before my wedding I was kept awake until 3am by people on the corridor which frustrated me. They weren’t even being particularly loud but you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. On our wedding night we were woken up at about 7 by the cleaners laughing and talking really loudly outside our room for about 45 minutes. After date night, we couldn’t get to sleep until about 2 as we could hear every single noise coming from the adjoining room (loud s*x, laughing, television) and were woken at 6 by their alarm going off and them getting ready. Something really needs to be done about the paper thin walls and it would definitely put me off staying over again. This is a shame because I’d love to come regularly since it was our wedding venue and the happiest day of our lives but I don’t know if I can justify paying so much to get a lack of sleep. I know quite a few reviews have mentioned this now so do feel like something should be done about this.
Other than that though, we love Red Hall and although I may not stay over again, we will definitely return for another date night.

We stayed as a group of friends staying over for a friends birthday meal in Ramsbottom.
The staff were brilliant and friendly. They gave us a breakfast which wasn't included in the bookings.com booking plus the breakfast was lovely.
Walls are a bit thin so you could hear people next room

Stayed for a few days, early to be ready for a family funeral the next day. The hotel staff were warm & welcoming on arrival & throughout our stay. The restaurant Oscars - the bar man & the restaurant managers (two) we saw were especially attentive with looking after us - from the drinks in the evening (search fresh cucumber for a gin) & my dietary restrictions for breakfast & dinner.
We came back from the funeral service to the Red Hall hotel where the family & friends gathering was taking place. Drinks in one private area followed with a separate private room tabled area for the buffet. The food & service was spot on. The restaurant manager recognised me he arranged for gluten-free plate of buffet food to be ready for me. All the food was good - from breakfast, the funeral buffet, & our dinners by the Chef/team. The Red Hall went above & beyond to make our stay. We had two extra family members with us for dinner last night & it was the same thoughtfulness & care again. (We missed seeing them at breakfast this morning to thank them once more).

We went to one of the Red Hall party nights in early December with 2 friends and then we all stayed the night at the hotel. We sat on a table for 4 and were well separated from the other partygoers. The food was excellent and we loved the karaoke. Drinks prices were very reasonable for a hotel. The bedroom was large, with plenty of drawer space, as well as a decent sized wardrobe. Everything was so clean. We didn't have breakfast as we thought £12.50 each was a bit dear.

Visited Oscar's Restaurant in the hotel for Golden Wedding celebratory meal - 23 dinner guests. It was a most enjoyable evening. Great menu choices , excellent service from George (Restaurant Manager) and his team . The food was delicious , cooked to perfection by the Head Chef and his kitchen team and well presented. Lots of compliments by our guests on the excellence of the food.
The restaurant is modern, tastefully decorated and comfortable . We will be dining there again.

Stayed here as well as having our daughter’s wedding reception. The hotel, staff and food are all amazing. The rooms are very nicely furnished and clean and a really comfy bed. The rooms at the back overlook the countryside and are quieter than the ones on the front. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The room for the reception is a great set up and a good size.

Booked a 1 night stay with husband and elderly parents. There was a wedding reception on but this did not disturb us. Rooms on the ground floor looking out over fields, clean and tidy including the bathroom. Staff very helpful, pleasant and attentive. Breakfast good with quite a few choices. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The hotel is efficient.

No delays at reception.

Rooms were immaculate, comfy beds and super clean.

If you want somewhere to crash, get a good nights sleep with no frills this does a great job.

Great value .

We stayed last night at the Red Hall Hotel with our 2 dogs. The room was fine and had a good bathroom with good shower. Nice view to the back over countryside. Evening meal, wine and breakfast were all great. We were lucky with the weather so sat outside but would not have been able to take the dogs in the restaurant of the weather had been bad, which would have been a problem for us. Naz who served us in the restaurant was so lovely and went out of her way to help and welcome us and our dogs, thank you Naz.

Stayed here on B&B from 25th-30th October. We were in room 26 , one of the upgraded contempo rooms and got an excellent rate for it too .
It was modern decor &comfortable. Had a walk in shower .
We opted not to have housekeeping do our room up daily but asked for fresh towels / toiletries each day.
The lobby area to rooms is a bit dated, carpets and walls need freshened up.

Breakfast starts 6:30am through the week and your table numbers are on the table . All food has to be ordered, nothing is left out as a buffet . There is Plenty choice but probably not as much as if there was a buffet ( think that’s due to less food waste) and you can order extra if needed .

The evening meals are also served in the oscars restaurant, we ate there twice and was good value for money and nice food . The had an offer menu of 2 main courses and a bottle of wine for £30 . So choose that each time. Alcohol only served when eating .
The decor in oscars is lovely and modern.

Masks are to be worn when not seated but sadly as usual not all guests adhere to the rules . Plenty hand sanitizer to use around the hotel .
WiFi worked great also in all parts of hotel .

The staff work long hours and are really good . Special mention to Naz and Chelsea , they were both so polite and hard working and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you .😊

stayed for one night on business trip to North West. ideal location just of motorway with great staff and very safe feel about the place. rooms very clean but NOT clinical so felt like home away from home.
Food was well cooked and plentiful, reasonable choice and served with a smile.
So nice when you spend a lot of time away from home be made to feel welcome.

We got married at The Red Hall on the 27th September 2019 and had the best day of our lives. The team were so much more than we could of ever wished for. Warren made sure the day ran exactly how we wanted it with no hassle and stress - Second to none when it comes to wedding coordinators.

We loved it so much, the team helped me recreated an intimate replica of our day as a surprise for our 1st anniversary. We were lucky enough to hire a room to ourselves, have our wedding music playing and some other personal touches, all organised by Helen and her team.

I can’t recommend this venue and the staff that come with it enough.

Thank you so much

As a couple we really enjoyed our Sunday Lunch at the Red Hall today. This is one of our favourite places to eat. Lovely starters, melt in the mouth lamb and generous portion of roast beef plus the biggest Yorkshire puds we have ever had. Creamy panacotta and delicious sticky toffee pudding. All staff wore face coverings, cutlery was served on a plate and I saw one member of staff cleaning the pen given to visitors to sign the track and trace list so every precaution taken to keep us all safe. Would not be afraid to visit again and would highly recommend. Well done Red Hall.

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Hall on 31st July 20 to celebrate our Anniversary. Right from checking in you are made to feel very welcome by the staff. They are all courteous and very friendly. The room was immaculate and modern with everything you need. We had booked the date night dinner and felt very safe in the restaurant, all the staff had PPE on and even though it must of been uncomfortable and hot for them they were cheerful and very attentive.
The food was delicious particularly the sea bass dish! What amazing value for money the date night deal is!
Again breakfast was spot on and our waitress Naz couldn't of been more helpful and professional.
Well done Red Hall in these difficult times we felt safe and throughly enjoyed our stay with you.
We would definitely recommend staying here and will return no doubt.
Thank you x
