Have been visiting family in the area and we have decided to turn it to an over night stay. Came cross this hotel and what a find it was. Great service from the moment we walked in. Kids got well looked after by the restaurant staff (thank you everyone) we all know that kids can be a handful sometimes however the staff we crossed path with were extremely helpful and served us with a big smile. Food was excellent too so for sure we will be back again

Spend 1 night here.

Smallish room with a double bed.

For me, the rooms are not sound proof. When someone next door was in the bathrooms, you could hear the water running/shower/sink.

Also doors banged loudly.

Cleanliness not 100%. The remote control was dirty, looks like it is never cleaned with a hygiene wipe. Same as the light switches, you could see all the grime from dirty hands.

I sent a couple of messages to the hotel direct through Expedia and they never replied. I mentioned it when I arrived but they didn’t apologise.

Red Hall gets five stars from me all the way. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. Our room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious.
We had a late snack in the restaurant and the food we had was excellent.
I need to mention Carla on reception who sorted out my twin bed issue and Jeanie too. The young lady in the restaurant was very friendly and attentive but I don't know her name. All in all a great experience.

We recently hosted a 3 night stay and conference for 24 guests at the Red Hall Hotel, and I cannot praise them enough. From the accommodation to the conference facilities, lunch, and refreshments, absolutely everything went fantastically smooth.

We had several overseas guests attending, and the feedback we received from them regarding the hotel and the overall experience was simply amazing.

I would like to say a massive and special thank you to Helio, Danielle, and Sharon. They went above and beyond to look after us every step of the way, ensuring our event was a complete success and completely stress-free.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a corporate event or simply looking for a great place to stay!

We didnt see any shops, my only reason for one low score, is that we were in room 7 on Friday 20th March. When we went to the room the smell of Fresh paint was very strong. The young lady on reception moved us to another room. Which was perfect.

Nice hotel but my room was very dated. There were screw plug holes on the wall where a long mirror had been removed but not replaced. The bed needs a new mattress because I could feel the springs. It was clean.

Breakfast was good and the maitre’d was very welcoming and helpful.

I’ve stayed here a number of times over the past few weeks, and it’s conveniently located just off the M66, five minutes into Ramsbottom, and around 12 into Bury itself. I’ve always managed to get a really good web deal, though if the hotel itself can match the deal (they can’t always), it’s worth contacting them direct.

Check in/out was always quick and easy, and the reception staff, without exception, are all great, and so helpful. I had breakfast on a couple of occasions, and this was really good. Cooked food is prepared to order, excellent choice, and with efficient service. There’s also a small, but entirely adequate, cold buffet (cereals, yogurts, pastries, fruit, etc.).

Bedrooms/bathrooms are okay, quite spacious, comfy beds, quiet, and housekeeping is thorough (I've stayed in four different rooms in total). The décor and furnishings are tired, though there are, apparently, some refurbished/updated bedrooms. Yet it’s value for money, because averaged out over a number of stays, the rooms were only £60.00 – and that includes breakfasts on two mornings!

The one big criticism was the one evening meal I had. The food, on the whole, was very good (with some excellent wines), but service was painfully slow. This dinner offer needs some fine tuning, because there’s some stiff competition a mile away in Ramsbottom. I mentioned this to the general manager, who was genuinely concerned and apologetic.

We stayed in this hotel for a family visit. As I have walking difficulties we asked for a room with disabled access. The room assigned was excellent for me with a walk in shower/wetroom. The staff were very good especially the reception desk with Helio and Jaquie. They were very helpful and proffesional.
The restaurant is excellent and the bar is comfortable and bright.
We can reccommend this hotel to all and will happily return again.

First of all I would like to say that the evening overall was very enjoyable. However having attended several New Year’s Eve parties over the last 25 years at various venues I tend to look at them in little more detail.
Points to consider: The menu in comparison with other venues which we considered had a limited choice of meals, having said that the meals and presentation was very good.
The bar area adjacent to the main dining hall used for pre-dinner drinks was crowded and uncomfortable. Canapes? Never saw any, assume the staff couldn’t get through the crowd. Drinks were available but late comers missed out due to shortage of glasses.
The dining hall decorations were excellent however the people sat on tables nearer to the bar entrance had difficulty seeing the stage area due to the L shaped room. Elvis impersonator? I was a bit dubious initially but great act well done.
Final note our room was clean comfortable but the fixtures and fittings looked a bit care worn. Breakfast very good.

Bedroom was clean, fresh sheets. Considering this was the deluxe room, it was quite basic and needed some repairs. The blind let in lots of light and could do with being replaced with a lined curtain.

Lovely view out the back.

The bath and shower needed a good deep clean. We didn’t use them. The shower head had black mould on and behind the taps had reddish grime that hadn’t been cleaned away.

There were some aspects of the room which could be include for example the brass door handles to the bathroom were not clean and there were some splashes up the wall next to the bathroom. Bed nice and comfortable but the bathroom was really hot.
Breakfast was ok but plates needed to be warm to keep food hotter for longer. As breakfast was £20 I would have liked to see more than one sausage or more than one slice of bacon. The menu mentioned fresh fruit but there was no fresh chopped mixed fruit on offer. However, what was provided was cooked nice and not greasy.
