So last week they did this:

Five Treatt employees – Dean Taylor, Ken Ferguson, Barry Kirby, Martyn Hunt and the sole woman in the team, Grete Eliassen – are raising money for Guide Dogs (www.guidedogs.org.uk) by cycling from the west coast to the east coast, starting in Whitehaven and finishing in Tynemouth,on Saturday 9th July.  It involves 140 miles of tough riding which includes scaling the harsh Lake District and Pennine ranges – around 10,000 feet of ascent.  They won’t be completely alone though as they’ll be ably supported by one of their colleagues, Bruce Sinclair, who will be acting as their support driver.

You may have seen them around Bury as they are training hard for the challenge, which is rapidly approaching, although part of the training seems to involve trying to fit into their lycras!

If you’d like to support Team Treatt and Guide Dogs, you can donate via their fundraising page: https://www.justgiving.com/C2CTreatt.  They’ve raised over £1000 so far but still have another 50% to go to reach their target!  Guide Dogs do fantastic work to give blind and visually impaired people more freedom and mobility.
