The Beach, which has been organised to form part of the Bury St Edmunds Food & Drink Festival, will remain in place for two extra days after the event. It will be open between 10am and 5pm each day complete with deck chairs, sand castle building equipment, a sound system playing beach noises and an area of it set aside for the treasure hunt.

Bury’d Treasure will involve participants paying £2 to hunt in the sand for a ticket (the treasure!). If the ticket is one of the lucky 100 randomly selected numbers, the winner will have the chance to pick a prize from the prize table. Even unlucky treasure hunters will receive a lollipop so no-one leaves unhappy!

arc centre manager, Colin Roberts, said; “This is our third year taking part in the accumulator challenge, we have a great relationship with the hospice and enjoy helping them to raise funds. This will be a fun event for kids to enjoy with some great prizes including vouchers and goodie bags, so come along and see what you could win!”
