The Best of BSE 'BUY LOCAL' Campaign

Have you seen our BUY LOCAL stickers?

  • We are so lucky in Bury with so many independent shops and restaurants.
  • Would you agree that it is not your average homogenized High Street. Yes we have the Arc....
Do you think our shopping street has lost its character and uniqueness? Do the same old chain stores occupy space that once was filled by independent one off shops?  I don't think so, I know we have the ARC, but all our independents aren't in there. And I think it is bringing popel to Bury who would normally have shopped elsewhere. Ipswich, Newmarket, Cambridge and even Norwich. Buy local – helps the environment Reduce your environmental impact by cutting out those unwanted journeys. Why not ditch the car and walk to your local shops! Shopping locally saves money and petrol As petrol prices hit an all time high, save petrol and shop locally. Local shops are vital to the elderly Local businesses are more accessible for everyone, this is especially important for the elderly and vulnerable. Encourage new startup businesses and entrepreneurship          Organic local farms Buy fresh local organic produce grown and sourced in your area. Preserve the one-of- a-kind businesses and help encourage  the creation of new businesses and jobs in your town.

So here we have a survey to enter, which will give us some interesting statitistics and for filling it in (only takes 3 minutes) you go into a draw to win £500 to spend in your favourite local Best of shop
