Great Fun for all the family , really encouraging day to keep families active , its true that they say that a family that exercises together stays together as we had a fun family day together , with demos and free trails at different kind of sports . Recommend all families and single people to attend.
It's easy to become quite sedentary living in Brighton due, in part, down to the 24 hour public transport links but also just the fast-pace of life for many around here. Takepart festival is a fun and sociable way to put a bit of movement back into my life (!). Whilst I don't have any children of my own I can see how lovely the various takepart events would be to have family-time whilst also getting active (and of course encouraging our future generations to enjoy sport and be healthy!). From assault course/boot camp style activities to table tennis Takepart Festival has something for everyone! I would really encourage anybody from around Brighton to get stuck in and have fun with our lovely local community and start to get active; we do live by the sea after all, being outside isn't that much of a drag!
What a fantastic event! A totally free afternoon promoting health and fitness. I saw some amazing talent on the main dance stage, from baby ballet to flamenco, street dance to azonto beats. Each group showed off their skills brilliantly and the audience were constantly joining in with the dancing. My favourite were the samba dancers with all their feathers! There was something for everyone!
