The team at TOM, as the venue is affectionately known locally, works closely with local artists, major cultural festivals, independent promoters and esteemed national arts organisations, in order to bring an even greater breadth to the yearly programme.
Bar and mini venue
TOM’s Bar, meanwhile, supports all of the above, not just by offering drinks, but by providing an intimate setting for many smaller events, including exclusive show previews.

Flexible venue hire:
The Old Market is an excellent choice for both public and private events. Whether you’re looking to organise a conference, host a wedding or party, or do some recording, there is a package to suit you - or the team will be happy to customise a hire to your exact needs.
The Main House is a 300-500 capacity room with various seating and staging arrangement possibilities, kitted out with high spec PA and lighting. TOM’s Bar and adjoining Waterloo Room, with a combined capacity of 100, are available to hire separately, but are also included as part of most Main House hires.
