Volunteer at the Porthcawl Christmas Swim
16th October 2014
... Comments

The Christmas Morning Swim is organised and manned by a small committee. With the swim being so popular and it being our 50th Anniversary swim, we need your help to make sure everything goes… swimmingly (groan).

Be a marshal

We need marshals on the day to help ensure that the swimmers have an unobstructed route down to the sea, keeping onlookers clear of the path. It’s an important role and we need help.

In exchange for a couple of hours of your time you will get a front row view. We supply you with a high-viz jacket and will give you a short briefing beforehand. As a thank you for your help we’ll give you a free Christmas Swim T-shirt and a mug (which is usually only given to swimmers).

In order to become a marshal, you  must be:

  • 16 years old or older;
  • available on Christmas morning;
  • willing to give us an hour two of their time one day in late December.

If you’d like to help, please get in touch by visiting the website:  http://christmasswim.org/contact-us/
