Remember, Remember, the 5th of November

The fifth of November is probably the last big calendar event before Christmas. It's a night which is full of fireworks, bonfires and lots of fun activities. Fireworks displays are great ways to bring your communities together. Here are a few tips for enjoying this bonfire night.

  • Be safe - There are obvious dangers with using fireworks, and having open fires so make sure you are extra careful this Bonfire Night. Make sure you're keeping an eye out and particularly making sure that children and pets are safe. This ensures that everyone enjoys the night.

  • Be considerate - If you're going to be setting of fireworks in your garden, make sure you let your neighbours know and check it's ok. Why not invite them over? Also make sure the loud noise is over by a decent time because the majority of people will be in work or school the next day.

  • Have fun - Embrace the evening and enjoy it with friends, family and neighbours. It's a great way of bringing people together so go along to an event that your community are organising. If one doesn't exist and you're up for a challenge, why not organise your own community event.
