Clash Of The Nations
24th February 2015
... Comments
Sunday 22nd February saw Bridgend Disabled Footballer’s take on the mighty Doncaster Titans in a friendly at Penybont Football Club.

Due to bad weather our game which was due to kick off at 2pm on the grass pitch was called off due to it being like a swimming pool and moved on to the 3G pitch at 4pm.  Even though the rain was lashing down both teams took to the magic carpet and played some out standing football with Bridgend DFC coming out on top 7-4.

This was a very tough game played in stormy weather but both teams played some amazing football and proved to the supporters that disabled football is no different.

Goals were scored by
Rhys Hulme 2, Johnathan Seldon 1, Jacob Halliday 1, Ross Thurling 1, Daniel Thomas 1, Tommy Myerscough 1

Next up for us is the 3 counties ability counts league in Worcester.

A big thank you goes out to all players and Penybont Football Club for letting us use their facilities.
