Bridgend's Local Businesses

Walking or driving (through parts) of Bridgend town, you can't fail to notice the number of empty shops and business premises.  One of the latest businesses to put up the 'closing down' signs is a familiar name which has been on the High Street for many years.

There is no doubt that the current economic climate has been tough for most businesses and as a small business owner myself I speak to lots of business owners who are finding the ups and downs a bit of a white knuckle ride.

Bridgend is not unique and this picture is replicated across many parts of the UK.  I feel strongly about the need to keep small towns alive and it is variety which distinguishes one town from another.

There are so many good quality businesses in Bridgend which don't have a shop window and so many of these small businesses go out of their way to deliver a good quality of service time and time again.

You may have noticed our current drive to find out which are the most popular local businesses.  This is a great PR opportunity for the businesses which get featured so I am asking you to tell us who you think are the local stars.  A business does not have to be big to be The Best but they do have care about their customers.  We have hundreds of registere users on The Best of Bridgend and I hope that we will attract many more who would like to have their say.

Our registration process is simple but if you have any problems when you are giving us your opinion, please email me.
