Stayed here for just one night whilst attending a birthday party at the Macron stadium. We had the option to book the premier inn directly accross the road from the venue or booking this hotel which we believed we could access the venue directly. First impressions of the hotel were positive and it boasts an impressive reception area. Staff were friendly and we was checked in quickly. First impression of our room was ok probably on a par with what we would expect from a premier Inn with the bathroom looking a little tired but ok or so we thought until we used the shower which had a leak leaving the floor wet through and had to be mopped up with our towels, we did report this on leaving the next morning and hopefully this would be sorted before the room was used again. We met other party guests in the bar and was shocked at the prices withe the cost of a Gin and Tonic at £8, wasn't even served nicely infact it was served in a straight glass as per the one in the bathroom which i put my toothbrush in. Whilst we know hotel bars are usually more expensive we felt this was extortionate and if your going to charge these prices at least present it well. The other downside was there is no automatic way through to the venue from the hotel although to their credit the staff did chaperone us through the hotel both to the party and back without any fuss. Our sleep in this hotel was also disappointing, the bed was rock hard and pillows no spring at all and most uncomfotable. Not quite sure what i feel about this hotel. First impressions good, staff lovely, breakfast lovely and to be fair price we paid for the room including breakfast good too. But even with all those positives including a great party the night before i left feeling decidedly underwhelmed and glad i wasn't staying any longer. Think its the hotels attention to detail particularly in the rooms which maybe the cause of my apathy to this venue.

Needed a convenient location to attend an event. Whites Bolton more than met the requirements, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. We would definitely recommend and use again.

The hotel is fine, tiny gym (with an even tinier air con - hot box) , good shower and saunas small swimming pool, the food is good but they sting you for extras ie lasagna without chips.

WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE GOOD IS ON A MONDAY AND TUESDAY THERE ARE FITNESS CLASSES RAN BY THE LOVELY KATIE.

On Monday and Tuesday at 6pm there are fitness and boxercise classes suitable for everyone , in a warm and friendly environment, with a really sweet group of folks in a large hallway within the stadium.

The class is fun and challenging interesting and most importantly available to all.

It wasn't well advertised and the reception staff failed to mention this to me. (Although they were exemplary in all other respects)

Enjoy the hotel but love the classes!

Would come agian just to attend!

Katie is Class

We stayed on the Friday night. Our football team was playing at the Macron stadium. We stayed in a suite & was very reasonably priced. The room was great though a little dated. The spa was relaxing & quiet. The pool, jacuzzi & steam room are free for guests. The internet & parking is also free.the staff were very relaxed.retail park next door. With Many restaurants etc.

Decided to book to stay, we where going to match in hospitality and thought it would be nice to stay over, instead of trying rush home after match. We have done this a couple of times on night matches, as it gets late. And as always the whites never failed to make our experience a wonderful one, from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. We have stayed here a few times, on this occasion we choose to go in penthouse and as normal it was lovely, with those extra bits to make it special.!

We have stayed on numerous occasions over the years. We stayed for 1 night and the service was great. The lady in 'The Grill' restaurant gave us exceptional service and made us feel special. Beds super comfy, rooms need updating, but clean and the hotel is in a great location.

Cold room, no hot water, dated and disappointing. Spent most of my night in restaurant as the room was so cold and smelt of body odour. The food was god and the service in the restaurant was very good however would not stay here again.

We stayed after a match, having travelled up from London. The welcome was overly brief, as the hotel was filling up with drinkers after the match, it could have been more personal and welcoming, however it was efficient. Our room was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed, bar some hot chocolate, which would have been nice. We used the pool, steam room and sauna, after getting lost trying to find it. It's a bit tired, but pleasant enough. Certainly not luxurious or romantic or exclusive. Practical. We then enjoyed dinner in The Grill. It's a bit up itself, and the prices are too high. However, staff are lovely. The food was no better than a chain pub's food. We had a burger and the barbecue chicken, very average, and not cooked by a chef with any talent. The desserts were delicious, really good. Service was slow, and the view of the bar next door funny, as a lot of the football fans were pretty drunk and rowdy by 8pm. We slept well, apart from being woken up when revellers were coming back to their rooms throughout the night, but that could happen at any hotel. The shower was strong. The next morning, breakfast was busy with around 70 schoolboys on a sports trip, but actually we found a nice table in front of Sky News and it was a relaxing start to the day. The cooked offerings were good, but there were no pastries or muffins, which was a shame. My pot of tea was sooooo good. Check out was charming, we actually did it twice as my son left his phone in the room and we had to come back ! Overall, a good stay in a basic hotel not pretending to be anything it's not. Excellent value, too.
