My client booked me into the hotel. The place is really good quality. The décor is typical of an hotel of this quality. The rooms are comfortable a spacious as you would expect the menu is is limited but that is not a criticism, what they do is done very well and beautifully presented. However it is the staff that makes it 5 Star. From reception to breakfast to dinner to bar everyone is friendly, attentive on always on the ball (well it is a football stadium). If I had to single out one member of staff it would be Olivia who ensured that my glass was never empty. I loved the place and never left the hotel in five nights.

Absolutely fantastic experience at the Bolton Whites Hotel, one of the best hotels I have used in 2017. A wonderful modern hotel supported by brilliant friendly staff, quiet rooms meant a great nights sleep. I booked a Penthouse Suite which represents excellent value for money. I was staying out on business Wednesday 22 November, as I was attending an event at the stadium the next day.

We booked this hotel for a couple of nights mid September for a wedding we were attending in Bolton. We had a couple of family rooms booked and a double pitch view room.
All rooms were great particularly liked the size of the family room was very spacious with the extra bed and a large sofa with table and other seating too. Good dressing table area and wardrobe with gowns and iron with ironing board. Tea and coffee facility also much appreciated.

Bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower and a wide mirror.

Bed was great had a good sleep both nights.

Particularly enjoyed the wet leisure facilities, sauna, steam, jacuzzi and swimming pool. Could not use in the evening so enjoyed it early morning soon as it was open, when it was nice and quiet. Adequate size unless hotel uses it for non guests where it might get crowded.
I liked the layout of the levels and rooms, yes some floors which has several steps up might not be suitable when you are carrying alot of luggage or persons with difficulty in walking but otherwise this was fine.
Pitch view rooms are great can step out onto balcony seating area, usually not family rooms but i may be wrong.not sure what happens when there is a match!
Breakfast was great, good choice and facilities, enjoyed breakfast on both days. i liked the takeaway coffee cups.

Overall i couldnt fault anything during my stay. Staff were friendly and polite and I would love the opportunity to visit again. We had a memorable stay. Thankyou.

Can't wait to visit again, the staff are top of the league.
I never leave reviews, but this is well deserved.

Basic rooms, needs a revamp big time. For the price, I expect more. Shower needed a scrub. Room was smallish. Premier Inn across the road has bigger, cleaner rooms and is half the price. Very disappointed with the room but staff were helpful.

Been staying here to Bolton whites from it opening, we spend our Anniversary here most years as it is always so very special. As our anniversary is December all the Christmas decorations always look lovely. The staff are always helpful and nothing is to much trouble, if there is an issue it is sorted immediately. Stayed in many places but this one is always special to us, we will be booking again soon for another relaxing stay.

This hotel is ideally placed just off the motorway and if you are lucky (as we were) your room will be overlooking the Bolton Wanderers pitch. Check-in was easy, although because we were paying by debit card, we were unable to pre-authorise the card for extras such as drinks. However, if you want to use a credit card to settle your bill, you will be charged a processing fee of £2.50.
Our room was quite large in comparison to many hotels we have stayed in; the bed was a large king-size and the bathroom was quite spacious, although the stone floor could have done with underfloor heating - in December the floor was really cold!
A steak sandwich in the bar in the evening was advertised as being on flatbread but came in a sandwich without any explanation although it was very tasty.
Breakfast was buffet style and had a good selection of all the usual stuff, but much tastier than some others we have tried. The only disappointment was the black pudding, which was very sweet as if sugar had been tipped over it We queried this with the waitress who said that the chef makes it himself and that's how he does it!
Drinks are normal price for a hotel of this type, but expensive compared to normal Northern prices; a G&T and a bottle of Peroni was over £10
The staff were friendly and helpful - our tea tray only had de-caff coffee on it so I approached a chamber maid I had seen along the corridor and she gave me 9 sachets of ordinary coffee, then asked me if that was enough!
Overall a good value stay with very minor niggles stopping this being a 5-star review

I normally slum it in the Bolton Travelodge when in town, so a chance to stay somewhere a bit posher for a similar price seemed like a good opportunity.

Getting further away from Bolton itself has to be a good thing; it’s just a short drive or few minutes train ride away.

I had a friendly and quick check in but was a bit disappointed after this. One of the lifts was out of service and the wait time was quite long. The decor in the lobby was dated and this extended into my room.

I just had a standard room, it was a reasonable size. It felt too hot and I couldn’t find a temperature control panel so had to use a stand-alone fan.

The bathroom was a bit tired, like the decorations elsewhere in the room, it needed a refresh.

My experience of this hotel was that it was just ok, although the staff were very nice. Having travelled by train it was a long walk via a circuitous route over an ungritted and very slippery bridge to Horwich Parkway.

I’d consider staying again if the price was right, but I was by no means wowed by Whites.
