I stayed here as I was visiting locally. The hotel entrance is very impressive with a grand staircase and glass lifts at reception. Staff on reception were so nice. Can't fault them.
I only paid £45 for my room as there was a promotion on. Breakfast was £10 extra.
My room was lovely. Nice double bed, plenty of pillows, hairdryer (could do with a more powerful one for us women), plenty of pillows. There were robes provided. Iron and ironing board and a trouser press. There was also tea and coffee facilities provided and a bottle of water was provided. Fixtures and fittings were nice. Bathroom was lovely with toiletries provided and my room had a pitch view. My only nark with the whole visit is with the pitch side view you are unable to open your patio style doors and there was no air con. There was a little fan but it wasn't very strong. Also the breakfast which was absolutely gorgeous (presented in wrought iron pans)(bacon was amazing as where the sausages and mushrooms) is a bit pricey at £10. I would be a bit miffed had I paid £90 for this room. However I didn't and as it wasn't roasting outside I'll let them off

Was a big cock-up with my original planned stay on my wedding night az the receptionist failed to find my booking. But was offered full complimentary service when we rang back up on a date of my choice. Brilliant night's stay would recommend to anyone...5*

We have just returned from one night's stay at this hotel, booked to allow us to attend a friends' special birthday. The hotel is built into the framework of the Macron Arena - home to the to Bolton football team. The decor is modern and luxurious. It was quiet when we visited [no games playing]. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Checking went smoothly and we set off to find our room. Rooms either face the car park, or face the pitch. No prizes for guessing which rooms cost the most. We overlooked the car park. Floors are split level . Basically, they label, with numbers, every other floor. Ours was on level 2 - but then we had to come back down a half flight of stairs to find the room. Fine for us, but problematic if you can't manage the half dozen or so steps. Most of the landing areas around the lifts have comfy sofas and nice decor. On our level was a restaurant that is obviously used only for special occasions [the breakfast restaurant is on the first floor.] The occasional restaurant had the most amazing views over the pitch and some tables were placed directly before huge plate glass windows. I bet it costs a bob or two to watch a match from there!!! Our room was spacious and had twin single beds, as requested. There was ample storage space, a trouser press, large bathroom with overhead shower and a TV. A dining chair and an arm chair completed the furniture. Nice pictures and blackout curtains . The beds were incredibly comfortable. While I have no difficulty falling asleep in strange beds, I rarely wake without backache. This time, though, no sign of backache and no waking, or tossing and turning during the night either.
Breakfast cost an extra £10 each on top of the £59 room cost. However, it was worth it - breakfast was lovely and hot, and plentiful. A good choice of cereals, full English breakfast items [including black pudding] and different breads and pastries. Plus as much tea, coffee and juice as you liked.
Things that could be improved: The orange juice, I think, was reconstituted, not fresh. Also, there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Well - not in ours, anyway. Maybe the more expensive rooms have them. The hotel has posh penthouse suites on the top floors with 'panoramic views', apparently. Sadly, we didn't get to see them, having booked a budget room.
Would I go again? Yep, We had a good sleep, great breakfast, and the staff were lovely.

Must admit I booked on price and location (800 metres from my final destination) - very pleasantly surprised by a hotel that's part of a football ground. Sunday night was very quiet (bar food only as main kitchen closed) but bat staff were attentive, Olympics on several screens (not too loud) so I had no need to go out for food. Free parking an excellent leisure facilities.

I would use this hotlel again.

Travelling with elderly parents, we needed a hotel that would have wheelchair access and be in a central location. From the moment we entered the hotel we received nothing short of excellent service from all staff. We also received an upgrade and had the most superb view onto the Bolton Wanderers pitch. Even though we are not great football fans, this was still a fantastic view from our room. Kelsey, on Reception was superb and dealt with every query efficiently and effectively.

Very friendly staff which made our stay even better. The room was an excellent size and friends even had a pitch view room which was brilliant! Breakfast staff were very helpful and the food was regularly topped up. Great stay overall.

We stayed here as part of a large party for a friends wedding. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good. Bar prices were a bit excessive. Overall a fine place to stay for our purpose.

No air con in gym for 6 weeks
Good good but not 5 star as prices suggest
Problems booking a regular room despite requests a month in advance and being a regular guest.
Room prices are reasonable but facilities and bar prices are where this hotel seeks to recover the lower rates on offer.
10 months as a regular you would assume small matters could be accommodated for and bookings would be correct each week when made in advance.
