Excellent room but let down by the tatty and uncofortable settees which need replacing. Had a good nights sleep thanks to the very confortable bed and good soundproofing. First days buffet breakfast was poor with the sausage and bacon swimming in fat and grease and the rest was luke warm, however our second days breakfast was freshly cooked and it was excellent.

Well run hotel that provides consistently good service.

Avoid arriving when a Bolton Wanderers game is on and book early as the hotel is often fully booked weeks in advance.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times this year and have not been disappointed.

Lost count how many times we have been here over last 6 years but always a lovely experience. Great entertainment nearby and shops, I rooms are well apportioned and kept to high standard. Staff are friendly and very welcoming.

Excellent hotel .
We stay there for pleasure and business trips every time we visit Bolton.
The only faults this time were slow waiter service in the bar and noisy people in next bedroom but they had probably had been to a Christmas party so I could let them off.
This is not normal and more than likely will not happen again so we will carry on staying there.

This is a hotel adjoining the football ground, 4 star, swimming pool, changed management in the last year. They are cutting down some of the extras, no longer bottles of water, shower caps, shoe-cleaning,sewing gear in the room.Shortbread biscuits with tea tray are half size! But still nice rooms, clean, good buffet breakfast, although smaller choice of cakes with it.

My gripe is that at weekends and bank holidays they don't open the pool early enough to allow a swim comfortably before breakfast. It's a big rush to do both. Staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Booking through Late.rooms the value was amazing. The great view is of the football ground. :) There are hypermarkets and retail parks a few minutes away.

A really excellent hotel. I was here for one night for a party in the adjacent function hall. There were a lot of parties and I was concerned that late night noise might be a problem but it wasn't. My room was spacious and well planned.
As it was only an extra £3 I decided to order breakfast in my room. My cooked breakfast arrived in time and very hot. Delicious.

Having stayed several times in the days when this was run by DeVere we always had good food and service. Sadly on this occasion something went terribly wrong with our food order (which still seems to be largely based on the old DeVere menu, even though the hotel is run by the footie club) Staff didn't quite seem to know what to do, other than to offer us a free drink, but no real apology or information. Fortunately a Club Director was around and apologised profusely and the Duty Manager then sorted things out. I wasn't entirely happy with the reasons given (a large party) as the car park was more or less empty, but they did address the issue in a way we were happy with and so it would not put me off going back.

Leisure centre is nice and the pool warm. Staff are pleasant and so maybe with a bit more management attention to the food side of things this will be great again.
