Took my 2 football mad grandsons for a nights stay in apitchside room as a birthday treat.Iwas slightly apprehensive after reading some reviews but was very pleasantly surprised with our stay.Booked in Sunday afternoon the young man on reception couldnt have been more helpful our request for pitchside rooms was granted with pleasure he also suggested we go for a swim in the spa as the rooms were not quite ready he even provided us with lovely fluffy towels.Spa was lovely and me and grandsons really enjoyed our swim.Rooms provided were excellent and we all slept soundly with no disturbances .There is a cinema bowling alley restaurants and shops right next door and within easy walking distance. There is also a Harvester pub across the road that does pub food and is probably better for children than the hotel fine dining. All in we had an excellent stay all the staff were friendly and helpful would stay again and can only say ignore the negative reports and try it yourself.Only complaints ,there were only bar meals availableSunday evening probably because of low guest numbers, and grumpy old men moaned at my grandsons for jumping in the spa pool they probably cant remember when they were kids jumping in the local baths. The breakfast was very nice and worth booking staff once again very helpful and couldnt do enough to help.Thank you Whites from my 2 grandsons for a BOSS stay.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for a weekend. We booked a pitch view suite which was very nice but a bit of a squeeze with the extra bed, the 2 armchairs were squashed in as a result. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I would agree with previous comments that the hotel is beginning to look a little tired, I can't remember the last time I saw such a huge TV!, it took up so much room, surely it can't be that expensive to kit out the rooms with flat screens. All in all a pleasant stay.

Had cause to stay for 3 nights on pleasure. Found the hotel to be excellent located near shops and restaurants in a nearby retail park (a walk). The hotel is located just off a motorway and within 30 mins of Manchester Airport. Parking is free. Wife was free throughout.

Staff were very pleasant and a request for a pitch side room was accommodated. These rooms are turned into corporate boxes on match day. The room was clean and the TV had loads of channels. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly and accommodating.

There is a lovely pool/sauna/steam room etc. Clean and very tasteful. I would recommend the hotel. For those of you who are football fans it extra special. The Hotel is built as part of the Reebok Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers FC.

Whilst I have scored high we booked this on a summer deal but had a bad experience so following a complaint we were upgraded. However if we had been given the deal room I doubt it would have scored so highly

I recently stayed at BOLTON WHITES IN JULY as it was a treat for my boyfriends birthday, I emailed Deveres to ask, if possible, could I have a pitch view room, a lady emailed me back called " JEN " a lovely email reply saying she would upgrade our room, I was thrilled, we arrived, pulled back the curtains, my first words were " WOW " IT WAS AMAZING, my boyfriend was thrilled our room was 328 it had the "WOW" factor,so thankyou very much " JEN " for making this happen, I certainly will never see anything like this in my lifetime. The room was very clean, the cleaning staff couldn't do enough, they came and asked us if we had enough towels, there are 2 excellent restaurants within walking distance, disabled parking a MUST for me, there is a lovely pool, sauna, and steam room, the reception staff were very helpful.
TO SUMMERISE: THIS HOTEL IS A MUST FOR ALL FOOTBALL FANS, THE ROOMS ARE TRUELY BEAUTIFUL, I WOULD LOVE TO STAY THERE AGAIN. THANKYOU TO EVERYONE THERE AND ESPECIALLY " JEN "

Lovely hotel!

Staff are extremely helpful. You won't get better anywhere else in the area!! That's just my opinion.

And, as a paying guest, you get to use the hotel's spa at no extra cost!!

Sample it for yourselves. Don't take my word for it.

Stayed here recently for the second time as my partner is a Bolton fan!
Stayed in a penthouse suite as I thought they may have pitch views...they don't! My mistake, but chose not to ask to change rooms.

Room very clean, lots of space. Starting to look a little tired and rough around the edges but, still a good price. Had a lovely meal in the brasserie ( we were hoping to eat in the restaurant upstairs but it was booked privately by the Barcelona team playing a friendly that weekend!)

Excellent breakfast buffet. Plenty of choice for all!

Three night groupon deal, £29 a night. Room 519, very friendly staff to greet us, all staff throughout stay smiling and could not do enough for us. Room clean, only concern was one packet of biscuits for the two of us, empty tissue box for entire stay. We thought music was playing, it was actually water pipes late into night. Each part of hotel very clean, spa and pool area very tidy, sign to pool too small so went wrong way. Pool and other facilities seconds to none. Great break, thanks Devere. Last night upgraded to penthouse suite, superb quality, pity only overlooks car park, cannot thank the cheerfull staff enough

just returned from an overnight at this hotel, and the staff were incredibly kind , typically Northern friendliness without being intrusive. Due to a problem with the booking we were sorted by the Manager in an efficient and friendly way. The spa area was excellent and clean as indeed was the hotel. Breakfast was good and my request for poached eggs met without any hesitation. We are returning in two weeks and looking forward to the experience.
Only down side the pillows were not comfortable and I do feel these days a choice of pillows in a 4 star hotel is a must.

We have stayed in lots of De Vere's and whilst most are good (excluding High Wycombe) this hotel is clearly the best. The staff are truly amazing and a credit to the company and better still "you feel at home". This was the second time we stayed at De Vere Whites and our latest visit was as good as our first.

Parking was no issue (not sure about match days though) and the room size & design just perfect. In general the hotel was very clean and in good condition.

Both breakfast & evening meals (we stayed for three nights) was brilliant and we would certainly stay again.

Just one mini negative.........suggest you steam clean the bathroom floors as in our room it was getting a touch grubby. Overall though 5 stars!.......congrats on a great hotel.
