The wedding rooms were lovely but the bar was expensive. The bed was comfortable and the room was fine but not very modern. We couldn't leave the window open as it was noisy so it was very warm. Hotels.com said the rooms had air conditioning but they didn't unfortunately.

We stayed for a concert at the Macron Stadium, hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Bar and Food a bit overpriced and room too hot but put that down too recent hot weather could probably do with some air conditioning in room. Room was a decent size and bed was comfortable.
Handy for stadium only about a 25 minute walk and plenty of restaurants and bars at the nearby retail park.
Would have given 5 stars but bar and food prices too high (15.95 for breakfast!)

Stayed a few times over the years and haven’t had any issues, great location to get to but can be hard to get back on motorway at peak times, nice to see some money being spent on redecorating reception and hopefully they will be moving into rooms soon as they feel very dated.

As said rooms are dated but you have everything you need, large comfy bed and okay TV, I say okay as it’s a smaller set considering the size of room. Only down side during this hot period is rooms have no air con and no fan was available.

Didn’t eat dinner but the breakfast is decent.

As my preferred hotel in the local area I'd booked a 3 night stay. Our corporate booking system had managed to arrange a "breakfast inclusive" rate on this occasion, but only the basic room type (some you win...)

I was accompanied by a colleague, which was fortunate as, despite my request for a room in the rear accommodation block I'd been allocated one in the front block facing the road. Fortunately my colleague (who claims to be able to sleep through a hurricane) was happy to swap rooms with me, and his room - then mine - was as originally requested. We checked in early, at around 13:30, but our rooms were ready so we dropped off our bags.

On returning to the hotel later that evening we had the opportunity to use the leisure facilities before going out to dinner nearby. Sadly the Jacuzzi was out of action, but the main pool was open and the steam room and sauna were working fine.

My room was hot at the end of July, but the hotel provided a fan on request. Using this at an open window managed to keep the temperatures sufficiently cool overnight, and a good nights sleep was possible (mainly due to being able to leave the window open as I was in the rear accommodation block - too noisy IMO if facing the road in the front block, even with the window closed)

Breakfast each day had a good selection of hot and cold options available (buffet style) but for some reason there were no eggs available on the first two days, and having a later breakfast on the last day of my stay the staff noted that they only had 8 remaining whilst I waited in the queue - there is a Tesco less than 2 miles away folks!

Other than "egg-gate" at breakfast I had a pleasant stay. The staff as always were attentive and helpful, and I'll be sure to stay here the next time I'm in the area.

A bit of a rabbit warren, fraying at the edges.

Whilst service was usually good, advertised items at the bar weren't available.

On a hot summer's evening, the lack of bedroom air conditioning or the ability to open a window more than a few inches made for a less than ideal evening.

Having said that, at least the meal was good and the same again for breakfast.

I found the room very basic, not even travelodge standard and very very dated. Also, why hotels decide to remove plug sockets from the sides of the beds is totally beyond me. Yes this may save you a few pounds in electricity but also means I wont be staying here again..On a positive note the food is above average and the staff were quite friendly and helpful

My husband and I enjoyed an afternoon tea here. We were sat in a nice quiet area and had a filling tea. We asked for more sandwiches and another drink each and it was not too much trouble for Irene who was the lovely lady serving the food. (Apparently people may just pop in for coffee anytime). We had a really relaxing afternoon with excellent service. Thank you.

Just got back from spending the weekend in this hotel for a wedding reception the rooms are very spacious but are very hot with no air con or fans in the room so it was impossible to sleep because of the heat even with the window wide open

I stayed here as it was close to a meeting I was attending and it seemed reasonably priced for its range of facilities. This is an older style of hotel that has been extended over the years but suffers from the same flaws as many of its type, noisy and in need of a re-vamp. The first room had a constant drone of a ventilation system and suffered from noise from above, I swapped to a top floor room on front of the back extension which was much better. Average sized single room with average facilities. Quite nice leisure facilities, Sauna in each changing room which is unusual for UK. reasonable breakfast. You get what you pay for given that it was cheaper than the Premier Inn.
