Lovely location and spa facilities and great staff
The location, spa facilities and staff were fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt that the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The food was fantastic both breakfast and dinner and the restaurant staff were really polite and responsive.
Overall both the individual rooms and the spa was too hot. The room was so hot that it was hard to sleep, when taking the duvet cover off we found a duvet covered in stains and blood. The spa had a really nice outside pool but it was very hot and even lying down in the spa to read, it was too hot so we didn't end up staying as long as we wanted to.

Still ok for short stay
Location is convenient to Bolton town centre, about 10 minutes walk
Unspeakable that hotel of this size has no refrigerator making it impossible to stay longer than 1 night. The 2 night stays and extension by two more nights meant no cold drinks could be store in the room. That is a bit inconvenient.

A short stay for work
The hotel location was abrupt, took a while to locate it, even though I got off right next to it. Blame it on my missing sense of geography. Upon arrival the wait for check in was a bit and the staff informed the room had twin beds even though I requested a double bed or to move two beds together, as I like sleeping in a big bed. Staff apologised the room had twin beds but stated the beds could not be moved together. On entering my room I noticed the twin beds were together and so I went down to inform staff and thank them for twin beds being joined. My information was received coldly. Next ordered room service and was asked to come down to collect my food or pay additional £5. Found that inconvenient but went down to collect food anyway. Every inch of space had been maximised in the room, toilet was congested and bumped into toilet, wash basin and shower a few times (you may think I am extremely fat but that is not the case). On a positive note the room service helped me out when I had an emergency and I appreciate it. Checkout was simple.
