The best budget hotel in Bolton, close to all local amenities, breakfast included in the price. Rooms are spacious, modern and well lit.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and cosy. Lots of choice for breakfast which was very tasty. Brilliant for our short overnight stay.

Decent standard hotel. Offers a great, eat as much as you like, full English breakfast.
Rooms are reasonably well appointed with fairly comfy beds, although the duvets work a bit too efficiently for me. Friendly staff contribute to making it a pleasant stay.
Parking can sometimes be inadequate even though there are two car parks, one above ground and one underground.

The staff were so helpful and considerate, afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches and cakes was a lovely treat.
Lovely to meet new people and enjoy a quiz and a game of bingo.

Stayed for 2 nights for my mums wedding. No bridal suite ready due to refurb so the bride was given interconnecting rooms instead(2 standard rooms with a door in between).
The hotel wanted to move the bride for the 2nd night into an executive suite (they told her this on the wedding morning when we came down for breakfast) however this was not appropriate given all the stuff we had for the wedding and the lack of time. One member of staff told us the executive was bigger than a standard… another member of staff told us it was the same size? The alternative was that the bride stayed in the standard room and another random guest would be staying in the interconnecting room, on her wedding night. Not the most thoughtful idea from the Hotel…. We were told the room was already booked before my mums wedding was booked (she booked it early 2020 before lockdown) so that is hard to believe.
Eventually this did get sorted however the bride could have done without this stress on her wedding morning before she’d even sat down for breakfast….
After breakfast (which I have no complaints about) we were stood around waiting for the wedding cakes which had been stored somewhere by the hotel. When the staff brought out the cake boxes (after half an hour of us stood around waiting on the wedding morning) the cake boxes were brought out in a different condition as they were when we handed them to reception. Of course the cakes inside were damaged…. The staff were asked a number of times to keep the cakes out of a fridge (and I’m sure it’s common knowledge that wedding cakes are fragile). This again was unnecessary stress we did not need on a wedding morning! Luckily the cake maker was a guest at the wedding and was able to bodge the cake back together. The staff that brought the cake out quickly disappeared when we brought it to her attention the cake was damaged and I didn’t see her again after. No remorse or apology? Do the staff working these weddings know how much these things cost? It felt like there was a lack of care, probably because of how busy they were though. There was a wedding Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Park life guests were staying. A coach full of elders were staying. There was also a bridal party on the Friday night staying who was getting married elsewhere. We were crammed in.
Everything else seemed to go as planned for the wedding. Wesley was great, very helpful and did a great job throughout the whole day. Jack behind the bar was also very friendly and helpful both nights. The chefs catered for a vegan (myself)-the lasagne that was specially made for the evening reception was delicious- thank you!
A double gin and tonic at the wedding bar was £12… for a holiday inn that seems very pricey.
The DJ could have been friendlier - he wouldn’t play one of my requests because he didn’t like it 🥴and he played The Contours - Do you love me about 3 times.
The hotel was clean and tidy and the choice of food at breakfast, and at the restaurant in the evening was great. There was a problem with the air conditioning so we all had to request fans from reception. We were dripping in sweat all day throughout the wedding ceremony and reception because it was so hot.
Wouldn’t ever stay again. Gave 3 stars because the food was good - thanks to the chefs! And the hotel was clean - thanks house keeping!

Staff are a little weird. Rooms are good.... Location is great. They don't have docking stations for hybrids or electric so extra effort needed to charge your car somewhere far in order to keep going especially after a long drive.
