Room was super,
Didn't have breakfast as it wasn't very good last time we stayed however the Shower could do with updating and the bathroom in general there was only one bath towel and only decaffeinated coffer and 1 pack of biscuits this was put right by receptionist

Recently stopped here as part of a Christmas function. Really enjoyed the stay. Staff were friendly. The hotel itself is an older building with a modern 1980s extension. The bar area I found to be very nice and particularly liked the glass foyer which brought natural light into the building and was a nice place to sit. Rooms were comfortable, and warm. Breakfast was superb with a good choice and particularly the coffee which was one of the nicest I have had in any hotel. As others have said there is a need for better maintenance- I could see that some improvements have already been made and much of the carpet looked newly laid and the laminated bed head in the room also looked a new addition and was smart. Some items I noticed needed attention were around general upkeep and decoration; for instance there was a broken light near the rear steps to the car park, a trouser press had been removed from the room but left tatty holes and electrical outlets in the built in wardrobe and there was a rotten pile of decking timber on the flat roof outside the bedroom window which looked unsightly. I hope that the management continue a programme of upgrading as the building is deserving of it and the hotel could really be very pleasant with a bit more attention

Attended a private function.
Nice hotel, comfy fair sized standard double room nice ensuite, nicely heated.
Plenty of parking.
The "Village" was nice to walk around and some bespoke crafts being made and sold.

Locked out of my van. They managed to come the very next day. Failed to get into my van, but also didn't charge me.
So I Rang a local auto locksmith the next day. Turned up in an hour. Accessed my van in 5 minutes. Had me a new key fob made within half an hour.

We were lucky enough to get tickets to see "The Bolton Legend" Peter Kay, and wow, they were worth every penny.
The theatre renovations looked great and definitely had accessiblity in mind, which is great to see.
There is also a small bar with refreshments. cakes and snacks. The staff are polite, helpful, and knowledgeable.
The closest parking is NCP, and you literally walk out, and you are there.
There are some amazing shows on, too. Around the world in 80 days, which is definitely worth a watch!
