Great stay for work at the Mercure Bolton, the rooms are clean, some upgrades are underway which is only going to further improve the experience. The best part of my stay had to be the staff! I travel a lot for work and never in a hotel chain have I experienced such friendly staff! From check-in to bar staff and my favourite Lydia welcoming me every day for breakfast! She was like a ray of sunshine when I’m my normal pre-caffeinated grumpy self! It may not be quite as cheap as the premier inn, but the extra few pounds a night for me was definitely worth the experience.

Even when the solicitors on the other side were being a pain, Tom kept everything moving along. I had complete confidence in the whole process. I would like to say a huge thank you to Zahra Kahn at ADK Law Solucitors for all her assistance in handling the completion for the sale of my apartment. The sale was quite complex and challenging in nature due to the propertly being a leasehold property affected by the new fire safety regulations. Zahra worked tirelessly with all interested parties including the buyers solicitor, the management company, the leasholder and mortgage company to ensure successful completion despite having to deal with some challenges on the other side. The legal fees were also extremely reasonable for the work involved. I would highly recommend Zahra and ADK law for all your conveyancing needs.

We stayed for a couple of nights. Bit off putting being within a housing estate. Advertised as being within a village with shops. Staff were pleasant and polite, food was excellent Whilst the room was clean, the bedding was a lot to be desired. Pillows were too big for the pillow cases and quilt could have been bigger. As for the shops, nothing was open. Whilst I appreciate the football was on, it was not pleasant trying to chill in your room whilst shouting and cheering was extremely loud along the corridor. As for the spa, this needs to be supervised more, bearing in mind someone was witnessed putting conditioner in her hair then proceeding to wash her hands in the hydro pool (this could block the filters ). Needs refurbished. Toilet didn’t flush correctly and had to be flushed several time. Tray stand at end of corridor was so dirty someone wrote clean me in the dirt
